Daily Surf Report - 5/8/2013

Now rocking our SUMMER HOURS and open daily from 9am - 6pm.

Coastal cloudiness, overcast and misty but very calm winds and morning temp of 57F.  Could turn out to be a nice day at the beach once the skies clear.  Another S swell starting to fill in and showing up with waves for all.  Ocean is smooth and clean and there is some longboard surf today.

CHANNEL: Smooth, glassy and rideable this morning.  Nice and shapely Groin bar lefts are rolling in outside and can be ridden in past the pole.  Size is waist high +.  Mali-Bo rights will be working with the incoming tide push and if you can make it past the middle section it reforms and runs to the sand.  Size is thigh/waist high.  Definitely best on a longboard but maybe something smaller can get moving as well.  5 in the water here today.  Looks pretty fun.

PATCH: S swell showing up and delivering periodic peaks in the waist high range.  Waiting period between sets but lots of nice and smooth waves coming through this morning.  Best mid-way and outside with a few insider rights as well at the Snags.  Morning low tide has switched and now incoming and covering up the rocks.  Looks fun on a big log.

PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT. Respect the Beach.
