Daily Surf Report - 5/15/2013

Now rocking our SUMMER HOURS and open daily from 9am - 6pm.

Almost summer and the living is easy.  Calm, clear, sunshine, no wind and morning temp of 55F.  May be getting a few clouds before the weekend then  high pressure kicks in again with some off-shore winds.   Still have local N windswell and the new S swell holding in steady with small wave heights and long intervals.  Morning low tide still a bonus for rock pickers but there is a bit more surf to explore this morning as well.

CHANNEL: Low tide still going lower for another hour.  Take the time to stretch out and plan your attack on the knee high lefts exploding across the Groin sandbars.  Still showing a lot of Groin wall and sandbars at this time.  More water required.  Afternoon longboard decompression expression sessions are the right call at this spot.

PATCH: Most all rocks exposed this morning and tide still heading lower for a bit.  A bit more surf just out past the meeting rock today and about 6 in the water at this spot.  Inside rights to the south of the exposed rocks are grinding away and looks like the best wave.  May require a quick exit before the beach but the bottom is sandy and the wave is smooth and fun.  Size looks to be almost waist high today and bigger board always scores in the Patch.

PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT. Respect the Beach.

TIDES:

LOW:  9:45 am  0.0'
