Lighter fog today and temp is 55F. Nice weather expected later today along with South Swell. Cross your fingers, wring your hands, hold your crystals. Do whatever it takes to get the surf up here soon!

No wind and glassy but very small ocean starts the day. Surf in the knee high range but a few are out getting wet with more on the wall looking. A great day to rent gear and learn to surf.

Channel: Waves are knee high at best and mostly lefts on the middle Groin bar. A few SUPs over on the Seadrift side but doesn't look much better or bigger over there. Bring out your big board and get what is there know and wait for South to kick in later.

Patch: Not right now. Flat and not surfable. SUPs paddling but no real surfable waves yet. With this upcoming tide maybe later today this spot will break...maybe.

Funky like James Brown, funky like a bowed legged monkey, funky! it's currently 55 degrees and We hope for another sunny day and will update weather later. Very small scale surf BUT decent South Swell on the way hopefully here by Friday.

Channel: Mixed conditions with rising tide. Waves are knee high at best but a few longboarders are in the water at this time. What is out there is middle bars lefts that could work if you ride a log. Bring out your Andre the Giant model big board and glide the day away.

Patch: Not right now. Flat and not surfable. With this upcoming tide maybe later today this spot will break...maybe.

It's foggy and funky. Funky like James Brown, funky like a bowed legged monkey, funky! it's currently 55 degrees and let's hope for another sunny day. It's glassy out but even the seven dwarves would say that it's somewhat on the smallish side. Log in the fog is the mantra this morning.

Channel: Glassy and tossing a fit in the thigh high range with an occasional waist high clean-up. Low tide now but can get that window of perfection with the incoming. Looks like Sea Drift is working and the middle bar as well. Bring out your Andre the Giant model big board and glide the day away.

Patch: Not right now. Slower than a cable TV appointment and twice as unreliable. With this upcoming tide maybe later today this spot will break...maybe.

As Mr. Rogers extolled for decades on public television, "It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood..." The sun is out, the wind is not, it's currently 54 degrees and promises to be a glorious day. It's glassy out and a reminent of a swell that would please someone of the Mugsy Bogues stature. Lumberjacks on their logs enjoying a lovely maple syrup morning. An absolutely brilliant day for beginners.

Channel: Glassy, yet again but getting a bit smaller/weaker. The middle bar and the Groin pole are what is in operation this morning. Today, size matters. Big boards to get your glide on.

Patch: She is beginning to roll a touch but WAY inside over the board biting rocks. Again, with this upcoming tide it looks like later today THIS could be the spot!

Good morning everyone and welcome to another week! The sun looks like it's going to make an early appearence this morning and the wind is breathless at the moment as it is currently 61 degrees. A bit of a dwindling swell hanging about like the guy who wouldn't leave the party. It's glassy conditions, none-the-less with some small waves in the Danny DeVito height range in the Channel. Longboards and SUP's enjoying a lovely morning. An absolutely brilliant day for beginners and old sea dogs alike.

Channel: GLASS- it's tottering in around waist high. Looks to be breaking at Sea Drift for the right and then the lefts begin where they always do--at the Channel. The middle bar and right on through the Groin pole towards the boat ramp! Looks pretty fun and a log looks to be the answer to your gliding prayers here today. Frank, Russ, DB, Hank and Cathy 'Leg's' are there now!

Patch: Looks like she wants to break as she is beginning to but WAY inside over those board dinging rocks. However, with this upcoming tide it looks like later today THIS could be the spot!

It is a semi-warm morning and plenty of surfers up early getting on it. A dwindling swell but we have some decently clean conditions this morning with some offshore breezes and spinny little waves in the channel. Lots of fisherman out about today as well. Looks to be a great beach day.

Big boards are still the best call for today and yes, it is an excellent beginner day.

Channel: about knee-ish to waist-ish, around 10-12 guys on it. Looks pretty fun with a big floaty board. Waves breaking in the middle of the channel and at the groin.

Patch: not much at the moment, tide is a little high but maybe a knee high wave here and there, good for beginners.

Fairly heavy marine layer out here this morning with moist air and wet ground. Winds are light and sideshore / onshore but not damaging things too much. Has been burning off by later morning and the days have been nice and warm into the evening. It's currently 54 degrees. Swell continues to drop but there are some rideable waves if you are patient. Dropping morning tide should improve conditions. Currently empty lineups with 3 unwrapping boards and putting on suits. Be the first in the water! Amaze and impress your friends!!

Big boards are still the best call for today and yes, it is an excellent beginner day.

Channel: Slightly textured and small with pieces of potential surf in the thigh high + size. Channel bar waves look best. Small but clean and rolling along towards the Groin. Longboards are required to make it work but switching tide could help clean it up and make it fun. Groin bar very small but could improve during the day. Bring the big board.

Patch: Mostly flat with the occasional right in the thigh high size. Long waits between potential waves and no one out here yet. Good for the SUP or kayak. Will update later if improvement occurs.

Good morning all. There's a medium marine layer out here with some onshore wind as well. Should burn off by late morning and turn out to be nice. It's currently 55 degrees. What is remaining of the swell is a bit knocked down by the wind but 1 surfer is in the water with 8 on the wall giving it a look. Tide switch cleaned things up yesterday for a short window. Big boards are still the norm for today and yes, it is an excellent beginner day.

Channel: Textured and small with pieces of potential surf in the thigh to almost waist high size. Middle bar has something almost worth riding on a longboard and deeper bar is section-y due to wind. Tide change could help but less wind would be nice as well.

Patch: Jumbled and mixed up with nothing looking too good or rideable. No one out and maybe thigh high + in size. Uncertain future.

Good morning all. There's a decent marine layer out here this morning with a bit of moist air about it. Should / could burn off by late morning. It's currently 57 degrees with very light wind not causing any issue. There is a bit of swell still lurking around in the vacinity of waist high. Big boards are still the norm for today and yes, it is quite the excellent beginner day.

Channel: Glassy and small in the thigh to waist high range. Around 8 surfers in the water with both bars delivering rideable surf. Again, it's the usual pattern with lefts rolling in from the middle bar on through the Groin pole to the boat ramp. Incoming tide later this morning could help but there are waves to ride on the right board

Patch: Is for the patient. Not yet but just wait until later. The surf should improve with the tide turn-around and subsequent push before. Some times things are lining up and producing rideable rights in the thigh high + size but lots of waiting for it to happen.

Good morning all. There's a bit of a marine layer out here this morn' that is thicker than a Hipster's beard but it looks as if it's already on it's way out. It's about 55 degrees but we should see the sun later today as it promises to be in the low-to-mid 70's. There is a bit of swell still lurking around in the vacinity of waist high. Big boards are the norm for today and yes, it is quite the excellent beginner day.

Channel: Glassy and small in the waist high neighborhood. Around seven longboards and a couple of janitor boards (SUP's) out there Sliding the morning away. Again, it's the usual pattern with lefts rolling in from the middle bar on through the Groin pole to the boat ramp. Still a low tide that looks about as shallow as a Kardashian but with this in-coming tide it should improve throughout the morning before the tide hits too high.

Good morning to all of you in Surflandia. It's another battleship grey morning out there and the current temp is coming in at about 55 degrees but we should see the sun again later today, just like yesterday. There is a touch of some pulse in the H2O right now, about butt-slapping/waist high. Big board = yes. Bad attitude = no. Yup, another excellent beginner day.

Channel: Yawning spinners sleepily marching through that are glassy and about waist high. Two(2) surfers in the water on longboards. It's the usual pattern with lefts rolling in from the middle bar on through the Groin pole to the boat ramp. Still a low tide with the sand bar peeking out but with this in-coming tide it should improve throughout the morning before the tide hits too high.

Hola y buenas dias amigos. It's a bit gray out here this morning to start the week but we should see the sun at some point this day. It's about 54 degrees and we still have some of the south swell pulsing through, however it's fading faster than Nicolas Cage's hair line. It's all glassy and a big board will be fun in this smallish surf. Yes, it's an excellent beginner day.

Channel: Glassy and waist high with 4 surfers in the water on longboards. Peeling from the middle bar on through the Groin pole to the boat ramp. Still a low tide with the sand bar peeking out but with this in-coming tide it should improve throughout the morning before the tide hits too high.

Patch: It's about knee/thigh high on the way outside. One longboard and three SUPers sharing the line up in this snoozing spot. The surf should improve with the tide push before it gets drown at the high high tide mark this early afternoon. big boards in the air craft carrier range here.

High Tide, No Tide, Low Tide, O Side, West Side, Rip Tide, Flow Tide.
Scattered clouds, with sun and blue skies. 56 degrees and some little fading south swell pulsing through. Little surf for a big board and some groovy little rides. Good beginner day.

Channel: knee to waist high with about 8-10 surfers on it, still pretty low tide but should improve throughout the morning before the tide hits too high. Grab a longboard and cruise some little peelers.

Patch: about knee to waist high on the way outside and the inside. Three surfers and three SUPers sharing the line up, and the surf should hopefully improve with the tide push before it gets a little bogged down at the high high this early afternoon.

9'0" Linden Longboard with Double Headed Surf Pelican Totem

Custom Artwork by Walter Blair Tom

For Sale at 2 Mile. Surf it, ride it, Put it on your wall.

South swell sliders are here, come hang ten on the totem.

NOTE: Due to the high tides lately, we here at 2-Mile can't stress enough about being careful around the boat ramp when entering and exiting the water. Dings are no bueno on your board or on your person. Just use common sense. Thanks.

Why are you awake and checking this at 6:40 am?
Lions, tigers, and bears oh my! Lightning and thunder and a little premature precipitation...
Super low tide this super early morning. Little reelers n peelers and some weather that will hopefully be sunny n beautiful out here...currently scattered clouds, bluish grey orange skies and seals flocking about merrily. Temp is 57F and it already feels warm.

Channel: Spinning microwaves in the ankle to shin, maybe knee high range. Grab your remote control GI Joe Spicoli surfer and charge it! Two guys on it currently, the rising tide should help it out, super glassy, just needs more water. Grab your 12 footer and a lawn chair and cruise into the morning.

Patch: Sweet baby jebus we got one SUPer out there reaping and sweeping all the ankle high waves he could possibly desire, and when I say way out there I mean WAY out there...all the reef is exposed, swell lines trying to do their magic, but let's face it, we're gonna need the tide push to see this place light up later. Sleep in, bring your log, and take a nap on a reeling little patcher once the tide comes up.

Just a reminder to pack your trash!!! PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT. Respect the Beach.

Light marine layer with blue already showing through. Sun will be out shortly and a nice day is on tap. Windless and 57F. Glassy and clear ocean - think blue/green in color. Lots of visible sea life - rays, porpoise, seals. Still have some small surf to ride today. Thigh / Hip / Waist high in size. Better on the bigger boards with pleny of waves to go around. Great day for beginners to rent some gear and learn to surf.

Channel: Small, smooth and glassy on both Channel bars. Thigh to waist high on the middle bar to the Groin Pole and NO WIND. A little bit shallow with low tide still filling in. About 8 surfers and 3 SUP's enjoying the waves. Come out and get some rides and glides today.

Patch: Patch is perking up as the tide fills in. Looks to be in the thigh to almost waist high range with waves on the north end and out past the meeting rock. 5 longboards out there sampling the waves. As tide moves higher should still continue to work. Keep your log ready and an eye on the Patch.

It's a Van Morrison morning here at the beach ("...and when the fog horn blows, you know I'll be coming home). Yup. A marine layer of fogginess has shrowded this little beach hamlet but not-to-worry. We have surf. Glassy surf. Not a trace of wind, either. The sun has been coming out by noontime lately bringing the temps up to the mid 70's. The temperature is currently 55 degrees. It's showing in the waist to chest high range. Saddle up an' move 'em out!

Channel: A proverbial glass palace today. Waist-to-chest high from Sea Drift to the middle bar to the Groin Pole and NO WIND as of yet. About 7 surfers and 1 SUP enjoying the elements. Bring your favorite surfboard.

UP DATE! The sun is out and it's about 70 degrees! The surf is still holding inspite of the high tide! C'mon out and surf!

Good morning surferos! It's another week and we find ourselves with an overcast morning with the temperature currently 54 degrees but hopefully, HOPEFULLY we'll see that lucky old sun who rolls around heaven all day. We have a bit of surf here in the village and with NOAA telling us that there is a 3' bump from the South plodding through, well...you know just what to do.

Channel: Glassy with knee to waist high spinners from the groin pole, middle of the channel and seadrift as well. About 10 surfers and 1 SUP enjoying the stoke as I write this. Mucho fun can be had with a big, floaty board.

Patch: Always a slow starter, the Patch looks to be trying with knee high rollers coming through. No one on it yet but with this mini-South and the tide coming up it could be the spot later, yeah? B-I-G L-O-G is the call.

Good morning and merry weekend desk jockey bangers!! Well, we have a hazy fog like morning out here, oscar the grouch meandering through town. A light onshore breeze and about 55 degrees, and some moderate surf.
Surf is more fun than it looks! Great beginner day or maybe some practice time on the tip and some little switch stance samba salsa nose dancing. Pray for sunshine, do the hulu and bring me a cookie...

Channel: little warble but some waves filtering through in the knee to thigh and occasional waist on the sets. About 12 surfers and 6 SUPers, plenty of waves, hopefully it will clean up throughout the day...

Patch: 6 guys out, little dribblers but more fun than it looks, shin to knee to maybe thigh or waist, but nose ride the crumble and shake your money maker on your favorite log.

Well attended morning line up with 15+ surfers in the Channel. Still some surf to ride as well. Sun is on the way and it it supposed to hit triple digits temp wise inland this weekend so the beach is the place to be. It's currently 55 degrees, very foggy in town with no wind and should warm up again and turn into a nice beach day. Sun came out around noon yesterday. There are small and smooth rideable waves today and longboards are the best call. It's another excellent day for beginners and all points in-between.

Channel: Smooth, glassy and waist high + in size. Somewhat crowded but enough little peaks popping up waves that there is plenty to go around. Still good to practice proper surf etiquette and let the deeper surfer have the wave. It's still working well here from Sea Drift, across the middle bar all-the-way-through the Groin pole-to-Boat ramp. Smooth lefts that still have some push to get you moving up and down the face. Come get wet.

Patch: Heavy fog but a few surfers are on it and enjoying smooth but smooth rights in the thigh high size. Looks to be breaking outside the meeting rock and rideable to the inside reform. Tides are good here for most of the day so avoid the crowd and get some rides in the fog.

Surf YES, sun NO - at the current moment. Should be out later this morning as it is shining bright in Pt. Reyes. It's currently 56 degrees with no wind and should heat up again and turn into a nice beach day. There are again waves to ride breaking off just about everywhere in town, so again there's something for everyone as it's another excellent day for the adavnced to the beginners and all points in-between.

Channel: Smooth, glassy and waist high + up to chest high on the better waves. It's working well here from Sea Drift, across the middle bar all-the-way-through the Groin pole-to-Boat ramp. Really clean and glassy in the waist to chest high range and not a spec of wind to speak of. Line up getting full but there are lots of waves to go around.

Patch: A bit of a swell showing here, inside as well as outside. Looks to be in about the thigh high range + size. Tide change may cause this spot to improve as the lineup is currently empty but there are waves to ride for you and your log today.

The sun is out and it's transforming this glorious morning into a wonderful "macaroni glued to cardboard and spray painted gold" kind of day! It's currently 54 degrees with no wind thus far and promises to heat up once again into the 80's a little later today. Yes, there are indeed waves to glide upon today breaking off just about everywhere, so again there's something for everyone as it's another excellent day for the adavnced to the beginners and all points in-between.

Channel: Woo-boy! It's functioning well here from Sea Drift, across the middle bar all-the-way-through the Groin pole-to-Boat ramp. Really clean and glassy in the waist to chest high range and not a spec of wind to speak of. 5 longboards, 3 SUP's and 2 fishermen currently enjoying the splendors.

Patch: A bit of a swell showing here, inside as well as outside. Looks to be in about the thigh high range. Again, when the tide turns around later it will be just like last night; Long right peelers in the above waist/below chest high range. Good morning everyone! It's a wonderful morning here at the beach as the sun is already delivering it's goodness across the water making everything shine like a new Roosevelt dime. It is currently 57 degrees and even with the out-going tide there is something rumbling along from Southern climes to give us a fun wave to glide upon. It should be another warm day here so keep in mind; Sun Block! There's something for everyone as it's another excellent day for beginners, as well.

Channel: Sure, it's a low tide but not a huge one and the wave's are in the thigh-to-waist high range. Really clean and glassy and no wind to speak of. It's showing on the middle bar all-the-way-through the Groin pole-to-Boat ramp. Long waits between sets but well worth it. Already about 5 people out there with longboards.

Patch: A bit of a swell showing here, inside as well as outside. Long waits between sets but looks to be in about the thigh high range. Of course, when the tide turns around later it will be just like last night; Long right peelers in the above waist/below chest high range. I bet that this'll be the log jam for the day....again! It's small (knee high) with a slight off-shore wind but very clean and surfable. Heck, even the sun is on it's way to greet the new week. Currently 59 degrees and with the tide getting ready to turn and climb back up this looks to be a fun day at the beach for big boards or even a bit of hand plane/body surfing. Excellent day for beginners.

Channel: Low tide but it's almost at slack, so with these little left peelers in the shin to knee to thigh high range coming through the Groin pole-to-Boat ramp section this is currently the spot. Already about 8 to 10 people out there with longboards, SUP's and even hand planes. With the sun and in-coming tide it'll only get better.

Patch: It's almost ready to manufacture a bit of a swell here and with the in-coming tide I bet this'll be the log jam for the day. No one out there...yet.

Not a breath of wind, the town is calm, the ocean is calm. Not much swell to speak of but it is super glassy and there are little waves to be had if you've got the right mindset and are in the right place at the right time. Great day for beginners.

Channel: pretty low tide, but super glassy, with little left reelers in the shin to knee to thigh high range. 6 or 7 guys on it with an assortment of boards, but the longer and floatier the better. Should improve with the incoming tide.

Patch: even at the low tide this morning there is a little bit of surf on the way outside. Super glassy bumps in the ankle slapper to knee crushing range. Currently 3 wave sweeping SUPers on it and one longboarder, praying that the incoming tide will spread it out and give us a little more surf.

2.0' at 15 secs from 191 degrees is the south swell out there. Still on the bouys and showing a bit here in Bolinas as well. More tide helps let it in and later today will be the good call.

High overcast to start the morning with sunshine a possibility by noon. Winds are nil and the ocean is smooth and glassy. Negative tide has bottomed out so lots of rocks and exposed sand showing. Incoming tide is your best bet for better surf later today. Currently 57F air temp.

Channel: Low, low tide / middle bar / Groin pole waves are trying to work with surf in the thigh high + size. A few SUPs and loggers are out there on making the best of the current conditions. Deeper Channel bar showing promise but not connecting due to low water levels. Should improve later with more water.

Patch: A few waves working outside past the meeting rock. Small but signs of the south swell. Look for this spot to get better with more tide and hopefully the south swell filling in. Currently thigh high.

Daily Surf Report - 8/3/2012

There actually is a steep south swell out there. Showing on the bouys but not here in Bolinas yet. More tide may help let it in later today.
Overcast to start the morning but sun was out by noon yesterday. Moderate on-shore wind again this morning. Negative tide has bottomed out so lots of rocks and exposed sand showing. Incoming tide and a decrease in wind is your best bet for better surf later today. Currently 55F air temp.

Channel: Low tide / middle bar / Groin pole waves are trying to work with surf in the thigh high size. A few gamers are out there on logs making due with the current conditions. Sloppy now but could clean up later with more water. Cross fingers.

Patch: A few waves outside past the meeting rock. Pieces and parts at best but only 1 surfer in the water scoring it all to himself. Look for this spot to get better with more tide, less wind and hopefully the south swell filling in. Currently knee/thigh.

Daily Surf Report - 8/2/2012

CLOSING AT 4pm TODAY!

Yes to sunshine at 12:47pm. Winds are now light and surf remains small.

Overcast with moderate on-shore wind this morning. Looking doubtful to see the sun or too many rideable waves today. If you are a surf camp kid throw on your wet wetsuit and get out there and shred as today is the last day of camp. Negative tide has bottomed out so lots of rocks and exposed sand showing. Incoming tide and hopefully a decrease in wind is your only hope for waves later today. Will update if improvement occurs. The air temp is currently 54 degrees.

Channel: Middle bar and that "Groin pole-to-the-Boat ramp" is trying to work in our current conditions and the slop is in the thigh high range inspite of an on-shore wind. Empty line-up at the moment.

Patch: Depspite Hank and David giving it a long look the Patch lineup remains empty and mostly unsurfable currently. Relatively flat but wait long enough and a wave will show up with this in-coming tide. This has been the call later in the day. Great spot to hone the log-skills.

Daily Surf Report - 8/1/2012

It's a new month and a brand-new day, kids. The surf is in the thigh range today but our pesky nemesis, the on-shore wind is back as well. It's not too strong so there is a bit of texture on the water but the wave is still holding up. As this negative low tide begins to creep up this morning it should start hitting the right sand bars and in the right key to keep you doing everything from The Funky Chicken to the Robot and all the dances in-between.
Overcast skies now but yesterday the sun made a late appearence and the temp went once again into the low 80's. The air temp is currently 54 degrees. Bring a big board. Conditions look good enough for renting gear and learning how to surf.
