Daily Surf Report - 12/31/2012

Goodmorning to you all of you liquid salt wave sliders. Sunny with a bit of off shore wind and a brisk 38 degrees to freeze dry your brain this morning here at the beach. Not a whole lot of a swell in the drink but there is a tiny bit of something on this last day of 2012 for you to enjoy.

Again, a high incoming tide is coming later in the day so please be mindful when entering/exiting the water as one should keep there eyes open and head on a swivel when traversing the boat ramp (be aware of the incline, holes and exposed rebar)... and yes we do have in-house ding repair if needed.

MATUSE wetsuit year-end sale. 25% off all wetsuits for men and women. All the details are HERE

CHANNEL: Smallish in the waist-to-below waist at the moment. Breaking across the Middle Bar and Groin Pole. With the incoming high tide it may wash it out until later this afternoon. Again, be mindful when paddling out by the ramp/Airplane house as that tide + wall will beat you like you owe it money. About five (5) out there now thinking like Laird and surfing like Barney. Big borads apply here.

PATCH: With the current tide the Patch is making a teeny, tiny bit of noise with around thigh/waist high rollers but that will be silenced rather quickly when the high tide arives in it's "fun Police" uniform and kills the fun dead. Six (6) out now but it must be plenty dirty as four (4) of them are janitors sweeping up. Even bigger boards are needed here. At least the rocks are covered up...

TIDES:

Lots of NEW and USED boards are in the racks so come check it out. Full wetsuits, 3 and 5mm booties, hoods and gloves are in stock as well. If you are in need of a new suit or board now is a great time to shop. We have all the gear for your cold water surfing needs.

Daily Surf Report - 12/30/2012

Sunshiny morning with light offshore wind and a temp of 40F. Beautiful winter day here in Bolinas. Still some raw ocean energy out there but bars need to reform a bit. Rideable waves but sectiony at times. Definitely worth a dip in the ocean. Parking lot is filling up.

Again a high incoming tide later this morning and decent amount of swell in the water. Look before you leap, assess the entrance and exit to the ocean, watch for other surfers heading in or out and use good judgement. The Boat Ramp is steep, slippery, mean and nasty with exposed holes and rebar. The Boat Ramp is like the Honey Badger. The Boat Ramp don't give a f*ck about your or your fancy board or your personal possessions or your loved ones. The Boat Ramp will chew you up and spit you out. Lots of carnage experienced yesterday with damaged boards and humans as well. Be careful and yes we do have in-house ding repair if needed.

MATUSE wetsuit year-end sale. 25% off all wetsuits for men and women. All the details are HERE

CHANNEL: Cleaning up a bit more today with longer rides available. Be patient and pick the right waves and you will be rewarded with open faces to make turns on. Seadrift rights are best and going waist high. Rights holding up well and a crew of 6 on it. Channel bar wave is a bit bigger but has sections. Clean ones roll through the Channel and are fast and smooth. Lefts are pieces and parts but a few do connect to the inside. Mali-Bo inside rights starting to work with more tide and size is thigh to waist. A few miscellaneous peaks inside of the Groin.

PATCH: Usual suspects out in force today as scattered peaks are rideable on big boards and SUPs. About 10-12 in the water right now. Size is almost waist high with mostly rights and the occasional left. Incoming tide has all rocks covered but access requires up and over the seawall today.

Daily Surf Report - 12/29/2012

Scattered clouds with hints of sunshine. Temp of 46F with moderate to stiff offshore winds grooming and cleaning things up a bit here in town and making both spots rideable options today. Tide peaks in a few hours so jump on it now. Full parking lot of surfers already in the water.

MATUSE wetsuit year-end sale. 25% off all wetsuits for men and women. All the details are HERE

CHANNEL: Shifting bars from recent storms starting to settle down. Still sectiony but good swell numbers on the buoys delivering waves to ride. Deeper Channel bar is best with wide waves waist to chest high in size rolling through. Rights into the Channel will require a bit of paddling to get back out due to incoming tide. Lefts at the Groin waist high and relatively smooth. A variety of equipment will work today.

PATCH: Working today with rights looking waist high and spread out peaks in the area. About 4-6 in the water. High tide may swamp it out but holding up so far. Bring your big board and ride.

Daily Surf Report - 12/28/2012

Early morning sunrise and glassy conditions. Now a bit overcast with light ENE winds and starting to drizzle. Mixed and jumbled at times with incoming tide starting to make its presence felt. Fading NW swell but still energy out there at times. Current temp is 44F. It is dry now but rain is predicted tonight. There is some surf out there so get on it and ride some waves.

MATUSE wetsuit year-end sale. 25% off all wetsuits for men and women. All the details are HERE

CHANNEL: Warbly at times with high tide and boat wakes causing bumps all over. Most waves are sectiony but a few hold up for long rides. Rights in the Channel going waist high and a few lefts at the Groin that are smooth. Tide is right for Mali-Bo now and that may be the best call as things peak. Good amount of water coming in so be prepared to do a bit of paddling to hold position and paddle through the Channel as well. A morning crew of about 8-10 in the water.

PATCH: No takers yet but a few waves here as conditions clean up. Better than it has been but not special. Afternoon session as tide heads out is the call and was the spot yesterday. Size looks to be almost waist high.

Daily Surf Report - 12/27/2012

Sunny, clear and lightly offshore breeze. A nice change from our recent conditions but get it while it lasts because the weatherman says another storm is on the way. It is a tidy 50F this morning with smoothing ocean conditions and rideable waves as well. Incoming tide starting to swamp it out but those in the water are getting some waves.

MATUSE wetsuit year-end sale. 25% off all wetsuits for men and women. All the details are HERE

CHANNEL: Waist high pop up peaks from the boat ramp over to the Groin and Channel as well. Lots of N swell on the buoys and it can translate to decent surf as conditions continue to clean up. Noontime tide swing could be the call as water drains out. About 5-6 currently in the water.

PATCH: Small but high tide at the moment. Maybe knee to thigh high waves but it is not working to good yet. Less water later may help and we'll update if improvement occurs.

Daily Surf Report - 12/26/2012

It's raining, it's pouring, the old man is.... writing the surf report. Goodmorning to all of you mariners of the glide. It's a rainy and cold hump day here at the beach with a chilly 47 degrees and intermintent rain and storm conditions. Big-high tide making everything warbley and messy. Not much to ride this morning but maybe later with the tide change...'course, the weather would have to cooperate as well. I wouldn't hold my breath if I was you.

MATUSE wetsuit year-end sale. 25% off all wetsuits for men and women. All the details are HERE

CHANNEL: Waist high slop not fit enough for the pigs. Huge high tide acting just like "the man" ...it's keeping everything down! It is a radical tide swing today BUT the weather is also here to harsh your buzz. If there is change I will make a note of it here later. If not, then no update will be given. No one out right now (duh).

PATCH: They say that beauty is only skin deep...well, this morning the Patch is demonstrating that ugliness is clean down to the bone. Speed bumps trying to make a show of it but too much water is making the bounce back look better than the actual surf (which looks terrible). Maybe later....yeah, like maybe later in the week! No body out there...obviously.

Daily Surf Report - 12/25/2012

Merry Christmas to everyone. We wish you peace and happy holidays. Enjoy the day with family and friends.

2-Mile will be CLOSED today and will re-open Wednesday at 10am.

CHANNEL: Waist high closeouts at the Groin Pole and middle bar. Not a heck of a lot to write home about. Reminds one of lumpy oatmeal. Loads of bounce-back/back wash with the high tide and the intervals are super Danny DeVito short. If you're not too particular about conditions then read no further and go for it. For the rest of you...maybe later with the tide change. Five (5) longboards out there now because they have the day off from work and probably figure this is it for awhile.

PATCH: Slower than a sloth on cough syrup. About thigh high that peters out in no time flat. Why? Because there is too much water here right now. The bounce back/back wash with the high tide is playing havoc here as well. With the radical tide change later maybe this will be the spot...(?). No one out here as I write this.

Daily Surf Report - 12/24/2012

Complements of the season to all of you sliders of the brine. It's a sunny morning at the beach today as it is currently a cool 45 degrees. Big, swamping tides this morning making it a bit mushy for any clean surf, yet some folks are still out here trying to make the most of it. Later with the tide change and if the wind cooperates (by staying away or slightly off-shore) there could be an early Christmas present for those who have been good.

Attention: We will be closed tomorrow, December 25th for Christmas day. Thank you.

*Only 1 more shopping days until Christmas. Swing by to check out all the great gear we have for the surfer on your holiday list.*

Daily Surf Report - 12/23/2012

More rain, wind and small stream flooding again today. This weather is killing our vibe. 30+ mph south winds causing full on victory at sea ocean conditions and also making driving hazardous. If you want to come out and Christmas shop we will be open limited hours today. If you want to come out and surf - think again and finish your gift shopping.

Daily Surf Report - 12/22/2012

Trees down, power lines down, mudslides and closed roads. It is an adventure to get here today. Currently not raining with partial clouds and some clear skies / sunshine. Will most likely change throughout the day. Wind has backed off and is very light. Ocean is actually calming down and if you can make it to the beach there are a few corners to be ridden although nothing spectacular or epic by any means. Expect to close early today due to weather.

CHANNEL: Still messy but bars are out there and occasionally things break the right way and a rideable wave shows. Chest to shoulder high and rideable at times but mostly lots of paddling for little reward. 2 people suiting up. No one in the water.

Daily Surf Report - 12/19/2012

ATTENTION: We will be closing a bit early today. Thank you.

Goodmorning water people. It's sunny yet cold at around 40 degrees with a slight kiss of off-shore wind. Some swell is making a show of it in both spots and with the tide switch later it should shape up much better.

*Only 6 more shopping days until Christmas. Swing by to check out all the great gear we have for the surfer on your holiday list.*

CHANNEL: Waist (+/-) on the Middle Bar, Groin Pole and Sea Drift. Tide is rolling out and roughing up the water a bit. With the tide switch it should clean up later and make you feel like Kelly Slater...only with hair...and perhaps less money. One (1)Custodial board and two (2) longboards gettin' jiggy with it.

PATCH: This place makes more come backs than Aerosmith! Thigh/waist breaking outside, in the middle and of course, at the Snags. Not a lot of juice yet but when the tide changes and comes back up it should be like a quart of Shlitz Malt Liquor was back in the day...don't let the smoov taste fool ya'. Daily Surf Report - 12/18/2012

Greetings and good day to all you aqua creatures of the surf. It's a gorgeous sunny morning with the current temp coming in at a chilly 42 degrees. There is actually some waves to glide upon today but it is a loggy day at both spots, so grab the biggest log you have and you too will be able to feel the warmth as you slide into your bliss.

*Only 7 more shopping days until Christmas. Swing by to check out all the great gear we have for the surfer on your holiday list.*

CHANNEL: It looks like Mali-Bo is the spot from which to glide upon this sunny but cold morn'. Rolling little right corners in about the waist high range, in which you too may clad thyself in your neoprene armor and ride with the ghosts of Duke, Dora and Uncle Donald before the tide comes back up and screws the pooch. No one out...yet.

PATCH: The Patch is actually creating a bit of a fun swell here this morning! Breaking in the waist (+/-) range over the middle of the Patch (rights and lefts) as well as that holy rolling right in which we lovingly refer to as The Snags is smoking along too! Better hurry before the up-coming tide ruins the fun. Four (4) longboards and a Janitorial machine digging the Clam Patch. Do the Clam!

Daily Surf Report - 12/17/2012

ATTENTION! We will be closing early today. Thank you.

Goodmorning to all of you out there in surflandia! It's a bit gray and gloomy out here at the beach today. It is currently 53 degrees with more rain and such expected throughout the day. The surf is really attempting to show something but all we're getting is pretty much the equivalent to a failing ghetto strip mall; close-outs. Hopefully, we'll catch a break later in the week if not later today.

*Only 8 more shopping days until Christmas. Swing by to check out all the great gear we have for the surfer on your holiday list.*

CHANNEL: There are waves here at the Groin Pole, Middle Bar and Sea Drift in the waist (+/-) BUT it's all sectioning and closing out, not-to-mention but I will anyway, the pulses between waves are extremely short. Lot's of sand bar exposed as well. No one here except us Seagulls.

PATCH: Again, the ol' Patch is trying harder than Charlie Brown's attempts at kicking that football (with the same results). Even though lines are coming through not many are peaking and breaking. When they actually do break it's only for about 10 or so yards. There are a couple of (extremely) small/short corners here but it's looking dismal at the moment. One (1) longboard thrashing about doing far more paddling and waiting than actual surfing.

Daily Surf Report - 12/16/2012

We may close before 5pm due to rain / wind / cold. Check or call for updates.
Only 9 more shopping days until Christmas. Swing by to check out all the great gear we have for the surfer on your holiday list.

Started out with rain and drizzle, and some variable wind...currently we do have a break in the storm, and there is a tiny bit of sun trying to stoke out the plant life and water dwelling mammals. Surf n swell has picked up a tad, howver the actual conditions are less than to be desired. No one surfing here as of yet, however there are some waves out there. More exposed west facing breaks have cleaner conditions and slightly larger wave faces, but there is a little action here in town if you're looking to engage and harness your skills, develop and strengthen your swimming and wave reading capabilities. It's sunday, so have some coffee or tea, a bloody mary or mimosa, some brunch, maybe hop in the water or don't, enjoy the last day of the weekend!

ALSO: With this high tide comes a lot of flotsom (wood, poles, planks, debris floating in the water) that you can get injured from. So, be mindful when entering and exiting the water. Keep your eyes open and your head on a swivel.

CHANNEL: as the tide rises we expect to see it shut down a bit, but currently there are waves breaking in and or around the channel area...a bit more swell than yesterday, some corners and crumbly walls in the knee to maybe thigh high range. No one out surfing at the moment, however there are two ocean kayakers scraping through some whitewater peaks and getting there stoke on.

PATCH: pieces and parts of swell stumbling through, looks like the waves might've had a late nite at Smiley's...but some little knick knacks here and there in the shin to knee high range. Definitely a tad bigger than yesterday, but showing the after effects of the wind and rain. No surfers braving it yet...

Daily Surf Report - 12/15/2012

Closing early due to rain / wind / cold. 3:00pm
Only 10 more shopping days until Christmas. Swing by to check out all the great gear we have for the surfer on your holiday list.

Moderate clouds + overcast with hints of blue and sun on the horizon. Cool with a temp is 42F. Dead calm with no wind. HUGE tides now pushed back until noon so early seesion and afternoon surfers have best results. Be careful entering and exiting the ocean when water is flowing up the boat ramp. So much tide change and a bit of N windswell out there that potential for conditions to change thoughout the day are limitless.

ALSO: With this high tide comes a lot of flotsom (wood, poles, planks, debris floating in the water) that you can get injured from. So, be mindful when entering and exiting the water. Keep your eyes open and your head on a swivel.

CHANNEL: Occasional Channel rollers in the thigh high range coming through. Seadrift has water and a few waves to explore. Possible inside Mali-BO but angle is a bit off. Groin bar not working yet. Could be good later as lots of water heading out until the evening. Tide doesn't peak for 3 more hours so get on it.

PATCH: A few rights sighted about mid way out with 3 surfers up and riding thigh high waves. As tide continues to fill in it will swamp it out but all rocks are currently covered. Again check this spot later in the day and tide heads out and bring the big board.

Daily Surf Report - 12/14/2012

Only 11 more shopping days until Christmas. Swing by to check out all the great gear we have for the surfer on your holiday list.

Cool but no ice. Overcast and almost rain but not quite. Temp is 45F with light fog and no wind. HUGE tides are pushing back into the later part of the morning so dawn patrol scores as does afternoon surfers. A small amount of water flowing up the boat ramp and into the seawall so be careful entering and exiting the ocean. Diminishing N swell and high tide starting to shut down the surf. Still a smooth ocean surface as wind remains nil.

ALSO: With this high tide comes a lot of flotsom (wood, poles, planks, debris floating in the water) that you can get injured from. So, be mindful when entering and exiting the water. Keep your eyes open and your head on a swivel.

CHANNEL: Empty lineup with 1 guy checking it. Possible inside Mali-BO but angle is a bit off. Occasional Groin bar waves going thigh hig but you will need a longboard and good paddling skils to make it happen. It is now or wait until tide switches and goes out for a while. Could be good later as lots of water heading out until the evening. 9' of tide swing from high to low.

PATCH: 5 surfers and SUPs in the water most likely having a tea party as waves are intermittent. Still trying to produce but incoming tide is flattening things out. Occasional small right breaking mid way. Knee to thigh high when it breaks. With the tide change later in the day this spot may start to work the way you want it to. Keep the log ready.

We still have a few open spots in our next Intermediate Surf Clinic happening this Saturday, 12/15/2012. All the details are HERE and signups are online through our schedule.

Daily Surf Report - 12/13/12

Frosty morning and currently chilly at 38F. Clear skies, sun and no wind. A damn fine Winter morning here in Bolinas. HUGE tides are pushing back into the later part of the morning so dawn patrol scores as does afternoon surfers. Still have water flowing up the boat ramp and onto the first level of the seawall so be careful entering and exiting the ocean. Smoothness now as last bits of surf show before tide peaks and shuts it down for a little while. Bit of N swell on the buoys and water temp is way warmer than the air.

ALSO: With this high tide comes a lot of flotsom (wood, poles, planks, debris floating in the water) that you can get injured from. So, be mindful when entering and exiting the water. Keep your eyes open and your head on a swivel.

CHANNEL: Fat rollers coming through but having a hard time breaking at peak high tide is almost here. Big board and good paddling skills will get you into some lefts that you can ride until they mush out inside. It is now or wait until tide switches and goes out for a while. Could be good later as lots of water heading out until the evening.

PATCH: Still trying but no bueno with this much water. Occasional small right breaking mid way. With the tide change later in the day this spot may start to work the way you want it to. Keep the log ready.

Daily Surf Report - 12/12/2012

Happy Twelve Twelve Twelve everyone! It's off-and-on sun/rain this morning here at the beach and it feels about as warm as a fire hydrant on a Buffalo, NY winter's day at 47 degrees. Once again a HUGE tide drowning out any possibilities for some surfboard ridin' fun. Again, I will trod down to the water's edge a bit later in the day and give it a gander. So, be sure to check back for further details. (Note: If there is no update that would mean that there is no change in conditions).

ALSO: With this high tide comes a lot of flotsom (wood, poles, planks, debris floating in the water) that you can get injured from. So, be mindful when entering and exiting the water. Keep your eyes open and your head on a swivel.

CHANNEL: Like geese farts on a muggy day. Not pleasant. Too much H2O and not enough sand bar to produce anything to ride upon. Perhaps later in the day with this radical mood swing tide.

PATCH: You can't fault this place for trying but as we all know; High tide in the Patch = No dice for a wave. With this tide change later in the day this spot may start popping like gun fire in South Central.

Daily Surf Report - 12/11/12

LOOKEE HERE: WE BE CLOSING AT 4PM TODAY!

Goodmorning fellow wave explorers. It's a foggy morning here in town so please be mindful when navigating your petrolium burning money eater around the West Marin environs. It's currently 49 degrees but feels colder than a well digger's butt. HUGE high tide right now as a swell is TRYING to do something but there is just too much water right now and not enough sand bar to make it work. I'll try to take a look a bit later today to see if there is a change, so check back here later this afternoon for an update. (Note: If there is no update that means there is no change in conditions).

ALSO: With this high tide comes a lot of flotsom (wood, poles, planks, debris floating in the water) that you can get injured from. So, be mindful when entering and exiting the water. Keep your eyes open and your head on a swivel.

CHANNEL: Trying to break but just dumping a little thigh high mushy thing inside of the Channel by the Groin pole, which peter's out within about 10 yards... which is good for a first down but not good for any decent surf. Maybe later with the tide change since it is an extreme one on both ends today. Three (3) longboards out there mostly sitting between a very occasional 'Straight-Off-Adolph' lurch.

PATCH: It's really, REALLY trying here. Lines are coming in but then they fade like Nicholas Cage's hairline. I'd say this spot will be the call later this afternoon.

Daily Surf Report - 12/10/12

Attention: WE WILL BE CLOSING EARLY TODAY AT 4PM.

Goodmorning children of the brine. It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood, a beautiful for a neighbor...but not for surfing...no, not for surfing. The sun is out, not a cloud in the sky, the temp is 47 that ain't no lie...just not for surfing...no, not for surfing. Seriously, peeps. Today may be a wonderful day for hiking, biking or whatever outdoor activity you may so be inclined to do that doesn't involve surfboard riding. Perhaps tomorrow? It IS a great day to get some Christmas shopping done for that last minute wetsuit or board (hint hint).

CHANNEL: Nothing. No-Thing. The super-high-swamp-it-out tide is about all that is happening here. Fishing seems to be good as the fleet has been heading out of the lagoon to open sea all morning.

PATCH: Lake Bolinas.

Daily Surf Report - 12/9/2012

Another gorgeous morning out here everybody! A little chilly at 47 degrees but the sun is shining and will hopefully warm things up soon... Not a whole lot of surf going on but if you're around, the water is warmer than the air temp, which could demand a little swim if you're enticed. We have a windswell knocking around some little peaks here and there, and not a breath of wind creating some very glassy conditions, but not much in the way of waves.

CHANNEL: wind swell nuggets, and only one surfer and one SUPer on it, navigating the massive rip tide flowing from the lagoon, waves knocking around in the knee high range.

PATCH: the place to be this morning, waves slipping through in the knee high range with about four loggers jamming it out. Get on it quick before the tide sucking out reveals the whole reef and shuts it down!

Daily Surf Report - 12/8/2012

Sunny and cool morning with temp of 41F and rising. High pressure system kicking in this weekend with temps up to the mid 60s. It's summer in December. Watch out for the following animals on your drive out - rabbit, fox and skunk in that order as they are out in force this morning. Nice day to come out to the beach and perfect day to rent a board and learn to surf. I believe Santa Claus is coming to town today for the Bolinas Winter Faire. Motivate, fire up and come on out!

CHANNEL: Windswelly peaks here and there. Not a lot of enery and peaking high tide is swamping it out a bit. Outgoing morning tide could improve shape. Deep Channel and Seadrift waves are thigh high and mush nuggets. Get in early on a longboard as deeper water kills the ride. Thread the needle with Mali-BO wall rides. Narrow take off zone - room for 1. Barnacle busting dredgers to the inner limits of the Bolinas wave pool. Watch the toes and fins as they don't mix well with concrete.

PATCH: Still showing some small rollers on the inside. Mostly rights and a few lefts. Knee cruching height but loggable. Good for the big board as per usual. Tide will keep rocks covered until late morning.

Daily Surf Report - 12/7/2012

Positive Forecast:
NORTHERN CALIFORNIA SURF REPORT

Through early next week: High pressure starts to build today bringing back some nicer weather with a possibility for offshore winds and warmer temps through the weekend. Fetch in the Gulf of Alaska is going to generate some overlapping mid-period NW (300-320) swells. The first pulse should be building today and then size looks like its going to hold for the most part in the chest to overhead range with periods around 10-12 seconds maybe slightly backing off through Sunday. Another pulse (300-320) will build Sunday bringing wave heights back into the chest to overhead range along the top exposed spots. Size will probably taper as you travel down the Central Coast due to the steep NW angle. Factors coming into play: E-NE morning winds followed by stronger N-NW afternoon winds, steep angle, 10-12 second periods.

Sun and surf on this beautiful December morning in Bolinas. Low level fog in the valleys but clear skies and no wind. A bit chilly at 43F but high pressure will bring afternoon temps into the 60s. Ocean has settled down and sand has reformed the bars. Nice day to come out to the beach and yes there are some waves to ride. Boat ramp has lots of nooks, crannies, holes and exposed rebar so tread lightly and watch your step.

CHANNEL: A bit confused on the Groin side at tide heads out. Bar may need a bit more reforming time. Best action deep in the Channel and over towards Seadrift where there are about 8 surfers and a few SUPs. Wave height thigh to waist and miscellaneous peaks going right and left. Mali-BO leftovers for the moment as well.

PATCH: Grinders in the thigh high range breaking outside and rolling along smoothly. Small but clean and good for the big board as per usual. Mostly rights with an ocassional left to ride. All but one rock is covered up and tide is outgoing. Get your log out and cruise here. Currently 10 in the water.

Sunny and beautiful Bolinas morning. Light fog in the mountains but clear skies, no wind and cool day. Current temp is 49F. Ocean has settled down and sand has reformed the bars. Nice day to come out to the beach and yes there are some waves to ride.

CHANNEL: Channel bar looks good and breaking waist high. Light offshore spray glistening in the morning sun like a rainbow with unicorns and narwhals. Inside at Mali-BO has potential. Breaking now but outgoing tide will kill it soon. Longboards are the best board for the day and the shop has plenty to rent or buy for Christmas!

PATCH: Small but breaking in the knee to thigh high range. Middle area rights and all but one rock is covered up. Get your log out and cruise here.

Daily Surf Report - 12/5/2012

2Mile Surf Shop will be CLOSED today. We will re-open on Thursday at 10am.
Overcast morning with moderate S winds but NO rain. Road cleanup crews still out clearing debri. Watch for tree limbs and residual mud while driving. Lots of sand has moved around and things are calming down in the ocean. Still not clean or composed conditions but at least 5 surfers are in the water and 2 on the wall laughing at their efforts. Dry and possibly sunny outlook on the horizon weather wise. A few bumps out there to try your luck on and maybe some are actually rideable.

CHANNEL: Sloppy bars with sections at the Groin pole and also inside around Mali-Bo. Not clean and possibly worth attempting to surf. Size looks knee to thigh +

Daily Surf Report - 12/1/2012

Welcome to December. Continued wet weather with rain and moderate S winds. Not as bad as yesterday but heavier conditions still predicted through the weekend. Semi-hazardous road conditions so slow down. Hills are alive and green from the rain.
