Daily Surf Report - 5/10/2013

Now rocking our SUMMER HOURS and open daily from 9am - 6pm.

Beautiful morning here in Bolinas.  Coastal overcast is burning off and already giving way to blue skies and sunshine.  A current temp of 58F warming things up and wind is very light to nil.  Very smooth and very glassy ocean.  Very low, negative morning tide but already moving up!  Great beach day.  Great day to rock pick or find some tidal zone treasures.  Great day to just walk on the beach and take in the beautiful surroundings.  Not such a great surf day at the moment.  Still a small S swell in the water but tide is too low to let it in.  Give it time and maybe later a few rollers will appear.

CHANNEL: Smooth, glassy and small.  Ankle to calf burners zipping along at the Groin bar heading left.  Fishing looks to be the sport of choice here today.  Wait for more water then check back and give Mali-Bo a good scrutinizing as it has been fun.

PATCH: Rocky, reefy and shallow with the low tide.  All rocks and bottom exposed.  Check the reef for that fin you lost last year or explore the tide pools.  Long lulls between small waves.  2 SUPs and 1 surfer are out with the wall jockeys planning their attack.  Waves when they appear are knee high.

PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT. Respect the Beach.

TIDES:

LOW: 6:34 am   -0.7'

HIGH: 1:40 pm   4.5'

LOW: 6:20 pm  2.3'
