Daily Surf Report - 5/11/2013

Now rocking our SUMMER HOURS and open daily from 9am - 6pm.

NOON UPDATE: Full sunshine and 67F.  Waves slightly improved to knee high!

Ghostly coastal fog wrapping around the bay. Negative wind and a negative tide this morning. Temperature is a cozy 54 degrees but feels like a balmy 56 at least. The water is warming up and feeling like at least 75 in my 5.5/4.5. Sea birds frolicking among the exposed rocks and sand bars exciting the not so happy, recently dry, marine life. Over all its a beautiful day in Norcal.

CHANNEL: Showing a few double over toe sets that close out when they hit the exposed sand bar. No one in the water but YOU can be the first. Restless dogs and restless seals are having some staring contests and the morning beach walkers are getting their Zen on. Wait for the high tide and possibly get a lil' somthin somthin.

PATCH: Head on over and take a peek at all the crabs and starfish. SOLID 6 to 8 inchers pounding the exposed rocks and for some reason no one is out. The morning soul searchers are looking longingly over the fields of drying kelp but alas, a low tide stank in making them cry. Possibilities for logging may arrive as the tide goes high.

PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT. Respect the Beach.

TIDES:

LOW: 7:08 am   -0.7'

HIGH: 2:23 pm   4.4'

LOW: 7:00 pm  2.5'
