Daily Surf Report -11/30/2015

Inspirational Quote Of The Day:
"Money is the string with which a sardonic destiny directs the motive of it's puppets." - W. Somerset Maugham

Rain sprinkles and neoprene wrinkles as the temps struggle to find the Mendoza line on this fine Monday morn. Parking is already approaching zero as all variety of watercraft and waterfowl seek solace and stoke. The tidal vectors have shifted, and will be working in slider's favor, at least in these early hours. I said "I'd love to, if I can find the time"....

CHANNEL:  A half dozen of the suited and booted are making the most out of clean shapes, though there is still a waiting game of some consequence being played. Lefts coming through inside, and even breaking towards the Seadrift encampment, if you are strong of shoulder and have packed a strong constitution.

PATCH: There are views that bring smiles and joy to the heart of all sliders, and this morning's is indeed one of these. As clean as has been observed in quite some time, and slides measured in quad and core strength are the norm. Rushes and fleeting glimpses of body and board find the line-up full, but not yet daunting. Find your line, or don't. But someone's gotta help me dig....

Daily Surf Report - 11/29/2015

Inspirational Quote Of The Day:
"You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream." - C.S. Lewis

Cold crisp morning showing temperatures below 50F. The sun provides little heat and the water provides little stoke. We'll fend off the chill with Tapatio.  It is a beautiful day, more than enough people have come and gathered in the water for what looks like the company. Seagulls and seals are not lonely today as the masses pour in.

CHANNEL:  Very little happening in the channel no crowd is seen here leaving lots of room for anyone with a very, very open mind. No surf it seems as the white water rolls in over itself. Do yourself a favor - don't try. Wait.

PATCH: Sometimes nothing is better than something.

Daily Surf Report - 11/28/2015

Inspirational Quote Of The Day:
"Have no fear of perfection - you'll never reach it." - Salvador Dali

Crispy morning with frigid temps and arctic landscapes as Fall grabs a foothold.  Illuminated skies of indigo allow for full sunshine to radiate down and cut the chill.  NW winds doing their part to adjust the surf and keep collars up high and hats on heads.  While resplendent to observe the overall beauty it leaves much to be desired for those seeking holiday slides and rides of merit.  Only those with stern demeanor and constitution are braving the elements to don damp neoprene and sally forth.  Of a positive note - the water is significantly warmer than the current air and can be a place of respite and revitalization.

CHANNEL:  A NW swell of adequate integers can find no purchase upon our shores this morning.  Though incoming tide gives the push one seeks the zephyrs blow strong and tear tops off with little care.  Exploratory missions to Seadrift are met with mixed results as wrinkles and bars conspire to taunt and tease.  A taste is all I need to stoke the fires within.  A taste is all you may find today.

PATCH:  I was dressed for success, but success it never comes
And I'm the only one who laughs at your jokes when they are so bad
And your jokes are always bad
But they're not as bad as this

Daily Surf Report - 11/27/2015

Inspirational Quote Of The Day:
"A kind heart is a fountain of gladness, making everything in its vicinity freshen into smiles." - Washington Irving

Cold black hearts meld with frozen terrain as we search for reasons to be thankful post-feast gorging.  As scintillating light radiates down it burns the frost off and begins the morning thaw.  Looking outside our psyche reveals the truth of the day and while not of legend or lore it does give one hope for minor slides and chilled out rides.  Mighty morning searchers hitch up their pants and make the pilgrimage for the water's edge.  Those with paddles in hand shall fare best initially but them with determined faith and strong shoulders may find aquatic solace as well.

CHANNEL:  With tide pulled back the sand of access helps one forge a path towards inferior spinners with crystalline shards.  A heady NW can find no purchase on the shores of the Channel leaving us with leftovers barely worth the effort to sandwich.  Relish the pure opportunity to imbibe in said seas and give thanks and praise to just be alive.

PATCH:
Well I know the tide will turn, I know the tide will turn...
I know the tide will turn, I know the tide will turn...
I know the tide will turn... I know the tide will turn...
