Daily Surf Report - 5/16/2011

Closing at 2:00

Good morning,

Currently pockets of sun out. Hard to tell if it will rain, although the forecast still calls for it. Should reach the low 60's later in the day. There is an onshore breeze, that is making the water choppy. Not much surfable surf. I'll let you know if conditions improve.

Channel/Groin: Small, around knee high at best.

Patch: Wind swell, not really rideable. No one out at this spot.

We have done some interior and exterior remodeling with the help of local artisans. Come on by to check out the changes and let us know what you think.

We have new locally shaped SK8 Hand Planes in the shop made from recycled skateboards. Pair it with a set of Churchill fins and you will always have a smile on your face after your session. Each plane is unique and has individual signed artwork. Come by the shop and check them out. Makes a great gift for the surfer in the family.

Just a reminder to pack your trash!!! PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT. Respect the Beach.

Daily Surf Report - 5/15/2011

Good morning,

The storm is on the horizon.
The stiff, cold, onshore breeze tells me it's headed straight for us.
No one in the water. Not looking like a surf day.
I'll let you know if conditions improve.

As of 10:20 am:

Rain has come and gone, sun is currently out. Wind continues to blow onshore, pretty strong and cold.

As of 1:40 pm

Still real windy, raining now, still no surf, no one out.

Will be closing early today.

Channel/Groin: Only small wind swell to speak of, breaking on the beach. There are a few people on the very inside of the channel messing around.

Seadrift has a little knee higher coming in, blown out, but really the only wave kinda working.

Patch: Same wind swell, not really rideable. No one out at this spot.

Hello surfers,

In Bolinas this morning it is currently overcast. The fog should burn off later in the day. There forecast calls for the temps to reach the mid- 60's. There is currently little to no wind but will most likely get stronger later in the day.

Channel/Groin: This spot is knee high on the best sets, bring a longboard or SUP. About five people in this spot.

Patch: Flat. No one in this spot.

NEWS: Mini Simmons Surfboards -
Next batch of Mini Simmons are here. We have 5.8, 5.10 with suspension and 6.0. Get on one if you want to fly! We have a demo/rental model in the shop so you can give it a try.

With the return of retro and classic surfboards, many surfers love the feel of riding a Mini Simmons board. Based on the early designs of Bob Simmons, who was light years ahead of his peers, the boards were considered revolutionary at the time. They have enjoyed resurgence in the last few years with a massive decrease in their length, and a modernization of their features. The best way to describe these boards is short and wide. The board is a revelation to ride. They are loose, oh so skatey and the fastest board you’ll feel under your feet - period.
Designed so that even the heaviest of riders can go small in size, these boards are ridden ridiculously small, rarely getting over the 6’0” mark.

Daily Surf Report- 5/2/2011

Closing at 3:00pm today.

Good Morning!
Sunny morning here, with a bit of fog burning off over the ocean. We should have a high in the 70's today. Currently calm winds. N wind may pick up this afternoon.

Channel: Is small this morning with some knee high sets. A handful of people in this spot.

Patch: Not working this morning.
