The grooving guitar of Jimmy Page is playing as we make the misty mountain hop from inland towns on this Monday morning. The fog is low and windshield wipers are in effect as we kick off the week. Swell is still present as waves are breaking in the knee high range and winds are light (thank you morning fog). Air temps are at 59F and will probably stay around there till much later in the afternoon when the sun finally breaks through as has been the trend the last few days. Should be a fun and mellow morning for beginners and veterans alike.
CHANNEL: The tide has just peaked and the waves are slightly swamped out. Yet there is still one guy out trying his luck at Mali-bo which is breaking in the ankle-knee range. Over on Seadrift, similar conditions are persisting and rolling through. Middle Channel is completely swamped, but will more than likely see improvement with the lower tide later this afternoon.
PATCH: Knee plus sets are rolling through as the surface is a mirror of glass that is only blemished by the three logs out that are rotating turns all the way in. Tide is a bit high, but waves are still coming through with a little push as the SW swell is still trying to push through. This spot is the call for the morning and will likely stay fairly good throughout the day.
