Daily Surf Report - 10/2/2011

Good morning,

It's a beautiful morning again with clearing patches of fog and a smooth and glassy ocean. Current temp is 60 degrees. Unfortunately there's not much surf, but you could definitely have fun on a nice big log out there. And it's not crowded.

Channel: Pretty much same as yesterday...small smooth waves breaking in the knee to thigh high range. You'll def want a big board but it looks fun. Beats sleeping in or not surfing. There are currently 5 people out.

Patch: Currently flat. No one out. Maybe with more water? We'll see...and will let you know if it improves.

New surf mats from Krypt and Mark Thomson are available to demo/rent. If you have tried boogie boarding and body surfing this is the next level of prone wave riding. We have varying shapes and sizes to match your needs. Come check out Vito, Sonny, Michael and Freddo for a dose of something new.

Just a reminder to pack your trash!!! PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT. Respect the Beach.

Tides:
Low: 9:32 am 2.8'
High: 3:46 pm 6.1'
Low: 10:41 pm -0.2'

We are now open daily from 9am - 6pm for our Summer hours from MAY through OCTOBER. Come out to rent if you need gear. We have a full selection of suits, boots, boards and SUPs to rent every day and are only 522 steps to the beach.

If your are in need of a new suit or board now is the time to pick something up as we are fully stocked with new gear. The rack has everything from Mini Simmons, fishes and eggs to classic longboards. We also have plenty of wetsuits, hoods, gloves and booties for your cold water surfing.
