Daily Surf Report - 10/20/2011

2:00 pm Update:
The sun has come out and the wind is still calm. Surf remains small and glassy.

Overcast skies. Calm winds. Glassy / oily ocean surface. Temp is 55F. Conditions are perfect except for lack of groundswell. Surf is very small today but a few are out on longboards.

Channel: Knee to almost thigh high waves in the Channel and at Seadrift. Very smooth and intermittent. Moderate waiting period between rideable waves. 5 surfers are in the water.

Patch: Inside waves that are knee high. Looks nice and smooth but too small except for the longest of longboards right now. No takers yet.

Did we mention the board rack is full of sticks waiting and wanting to be waxed and ridden. Surf season is upon us so come by and check out the selection.

Just a reminder to pack your trash!!! PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT. Respect the Beach.
