Daily Surf Report - 8/21/2011

Good morning,

Nice, calm morning here. No winds, smooth ocean. Foggy and drizzly. Current temp is 61.

Currently not much swell in the water, but there are a few rideable waves breaking. The tide is mid most of the day, with it peaking late this afternoon. As it fills in, conditions may improve.

Channel: Not much right in the channel, but a little something on the seadrift side. There are small waves breaking along the groin bar as well. Size is knee high to thigh. Bring a longboard to have the best results.
Currently 3 guys out on SUP's and one longboarder.

Patch: Not really surfable at this time. Should be better later this afternoon.

Check out the trailer for our friend Doug Walker's new surf movie "Lost and Found" It will be premiering at the NYC Surf Film Fest in September and is a great piece of surfing history that should not be missed.
