Daily Surf Report - 8/4/2011

Misty morning with a balmy 59F current temp. Patches of sun starting to burn through. Light winds and smoothness on the ocean. Little swell lines showing even with the low tide. Small spinners to be had today. More tide could improve conditions but it is currently surfable.

Channel: Low tide conditions with little spinning lefts showing in the thigh high size. Surfers spread out from the Groin through to Seadrift where waves look a bit bigger right now.

Patch: Low tide conditions, with lots of exposed rocks, maybe a little wave on the outside, but not real consistent yet. Inside is showing potential with smooth ocean surface and a nice little left to be had that is knee to thigh high. Watch out for the inside rocks! Should improve with more tide later today.

Learn to Stand Up Paddle with RiseSUP this Sunday - 8/7/2011. Clinic will be held from 10am - 1:30pm and includes over 2 hours of paddling and a 1 hour nutrition talk. Meet at the shop to get started with Jaimie and Scott.
