Daily Surf Report - 8/27/2011

2:47pm Update:
Sun is out and temps are up to 71F. Still rideable longboard waves in town. Bats into hiding until dark.

We are greeted this morning with grey skies and mild fog - also dive-bombing bats trying to suck my blood. No wind and a current temp of 56F. Ocean is smooth and there is a little pulse of energy in the water. There are peeling grinders and grinding peelers to be ridden today. Zippy and fun. Sun should be out early afternoon - bats go home!

Channel: Waves in the thigh to waist high size breaking consistently on the Channel bar. Smooth and rideable lefts with an occasional right in the Channel. Sets a bit bigger and better. Inside Groin waves as well in the thigh + size. Knee high Banzai Pipeline style on the inside - hollow.

Patch: Small crumblers outside in the knee high range. Still needs some more tide to fill in to get working and evenings have been loggable.

Tune up your log with our fin rental program. Find the perfect fin to make your board perform. For $10 / day or $20 / week, you can rent one of our fins and find the perfect ride. We have a great selection of varying sizes and flex for all boards.
