Daily Surf Report - 8/12/2011

2:30 pm Update:
Sunshine! and still light winds. Small south running and waves to be ridden.

No wind this morning and ocean surface is smoothing out. Still cloudy, overcast and foggy with a temp of 55 degrees. Hoping for sun by early afternoon - patches of blue in Pt Reyes.

Channel: Waist high waves breaking on the Groin and Channel bars this morning. Looks much better than the past 2 days and is rideable on a long board. Currently 8 surfers in the water with more putting on suits in the parking lot.

Patch: Intermittent surf in the crumbly knee high size. Mostly breaking inside. Improving with afternoon tides. No one out at the moment but good for evening logging.

Limited Edition Surf Art posters now available in the shop. Numbered and signed by Sonoma County surer/artist/historian. Get em while they last!

Just a reminder to pack your trash!!! PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT. Respect the Beach.
