Daily Surf Report - 8/20/2011

All Bee Gees music today. Come get your Disco / Saturday Night Fever on!

Ah summertime weather....Foggy, mist, drizzle, south winds. Gotta love CA. Current temp is 55F. Ocean a bit textured this morning with light winds.

The swell has diminished, but there are a few rideable waves breaking. The tide is mid most of the day so water levels are good.

Channel: A few surfers are in the water. There are small waves breaking along the groin bar. Size is knee to thigh high. Bring a longboard to have the best results.

Patch: There are small, knee high waves breaking on the inside. They are rideable and the incoming tide will help as well. No on out yet but the Patch has had some nice evening logging sessions.

Check out the trailer for our friend Doug Walker's new surf movie "Lost and Found" It will be premiering at the NYC Surf Film Fest in September and is a great piece of surfing history that should not be missed.
