Fifth day of spring nicer than the first. Push repeat for another sunny and windless morning with a glassy ocean and a bit of rideable surf! Air temp coming in at a chill 48 degrees but another nice weather day is on tap and temps should reach 70. Lingering south swell remains in the water delivering waves. Ocean a bit chill with water temp down to 50F so bring the booties. Fun day to surf and great for beginners as well.
CHANNEL: Body surfing possibilities on the Bolinas side and the MaliBO region. Not the best angle for surf here today. Seadrifte more consistent with a decent group of longboarders on the rights and lefts across the Channel. Size looks to be thigh to waist and the waves are smooth and peaky. There are waves here today but you will need to be patient to find the right spot.
PATCH: South swell still here this moring. Lots of waves to ride. Smooth and glassy. Size is waist +. Consistent sets after a bit of a waiting period. Barnacles in the northern region. Masters on the middle bowl. Grommets in the Snags. Plenty of waves with the best shape mid-way and on the inside as the tide fills in. Mostly rights that hold up. Long rides to the beach can be expected. Getting crowded so look both ways before you drop in. Open faces and noserides for all. Outside breaking as well but a bit scattered. Lots of surfers in the water and spread out as well. Incoming tide has all the rocks covered and it looks like there will be waves here all day. Get it while it lasts!
