Daily Surf Report - 3/23/2013
Fourth day of spring much nicer than the first. Another sunny and windless morning with a glassy ocean and a bit of rideable surf! Air temp coming in at a chill 44 degrees but another nice weather day is on tap and high pressure system remains over the area. Small south swell kicking in and comboing up with NW windswell to get both town spots working this beautiful morning. Ocean a bit chill with water temp down to 50F so bring the booties. Fun day to surf and great for beginners as well.
CHANNEL: Micro mysto MaliBo waves are still out there for the patient surfers willing to wait and sit on the Groin pole. Racy rights in the thigh high size that zip along to the beach. Sand has moved around so watch out for the early exit and shore thumping. More consistent surf in the Channel proper as bars have shifted a bit. Right and lefts running over to Seadrift and a good pod of longboarders on it already. Still thigh to waist high but smooth and lots to ride.
PATCH: South swell has arrived. Plenty of waves with the best shape mid-way and on the inside with rolling rights that are waist high. Long rides with turning possibilities and gliding noserides available for all. Outside breaking as well but a bit scattered. Lots of surfers in the water and spread out as well. Incoming tide has all the rocks covered and it looks like there will be waves here all day.
PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT. Respect the Beach.
