Another crisp morning here as the fog sits low and the ocean breathes salty air. While it may seem like a dreary morning, a 2ft NW and 3ft S swell are making their way to our little bay, but are still having a hard time showing up in full force. While the tide is a bit high and the sets are lulling in classic south swell fashion, waves will be here today. While winds are out of the NW today, there isn't a breeze as of yet and conditions are glassy all around. It's a great day to bring out all kinds of surf craft and to enjoy the tranquility that the ocean has to offer. But come quick for parking is scarce already and bound to become extinct later today.
CHANNEL: The tide is a little high as of now, but is slowly pushing back out as 20+ guys and gals are in the lineup on everything from logs to kayaks. The middle groin is breaking in the thigh+ range right now and should pick up in a few hours as a bit less water sits on the bars. As of now the sets are few and far between with the lulling south swell which is par for the course. Don't be in a rush this morning and wait for the waves to come to you.
PATCH: Small little peelers are breaking this morning just beside the meeting rock which is completely hidden at the moment. Super glassy and breaking in the knee high range, but just barely. 10+ are out right now trying their best with this lulling high tide. Later this afternoon around 3pm with a mid to high tide may be the call for here today. But don't let that stop you from trying your luck.
