Come one, come all as the sun peaks through to shine on us all. It is a beautiful morning with a low cloud cover that is already starting to break for some sunshine as air temps are at 58F and the winds are barely blowing. Not much in terms of surfing though. With the tide incoming till just past noon and already a lot of water on the bars and reef, the waves are small, swamped out, and scarce. There is a 1-3Ft NW swell coming down the coast, but unfortunately it is having trouble wrapping its way around Duxbury. Expect the surf to be small and for the winds to pick up later today and blow from the South (onshore). But that being said, it is still going to be a wonderful beach day to start off the weekend.
CHANNEL: The tide is incoming and there is a bit too much water on the sandbars already creating mushy lefts that are short lived. Waves are breaking in the ankle range with not a soul to be seen trying their luck. Try your luck later in the day when less water is out there, but be warned of South winds!
PATCH: Looking out here this morning reminds me of lake Tahoe. Beautifully majestic and tranquil, but utterly flat. The only thing working here this morning is the knee high shore break. This might be fun to body surf, but the tide needs to be a bit lower before anything will shape up here. A little more swell wouldn't hurt either.
