Daily Surf Report - 4/7/2014

WE ARE CLOSING A TOUCH EARLY TONIGHT BUT WE WILL RE-OPEN TOMORROW MORNING AT 10AM.

Inspirational crystal quote of the day:
“Every man's life ends the same way. It is only the details of how he lived and how he died that distinguish one man from another." - Ernest Hemingway

Good morning and happy Monday to all of you practitioners of the art form of walking upon the water. Am I comparing you to Jesus, you're undoubtedly thinking? No. One of the many fundamental differences between you and the King of the Nazarines is simple; Jesus didn't need a surfboard. Though, it is an interesting concept to ponder that if Jesus actually did indeed use a surfboard, what kind would he choose? Would 'J-man' be into the easy take-off's but skate-y feeling of a 5' 8" soap bar Mini-Simmons since he's already rockin' the "Hipster" dress code? Or, would he resurrect more of a macho, Maverick's big-wave charger persona, flying down 35' faces on a red, 10'4" Dick Brewer gun with the almost needle tipped, pulled back tail? Or, perhaps the King of Kings would prefer to kick it old testament and mellow out on a 9'6" single fin nose rider to just glide-in-the-sweet-spot on a few 4' right hand glassers? Was he regular foot? Goofy? Shoot, he's Jesus... he's probably a switch stance devotee ala Bertlemann, Buttons or Joel Tudor. Anyway, as you consider all of this, the morning here is absolutely delightful as the temperature is already 55 degrees and will warm way up towards the 80's later. The sun is out, the birds are singing in the key of the Five Blind Boys of Alabama and there is even a little bump in the H2O...So, come on in, the water is fine.

CHANNEL:  Waist high white water wonders are burping and slurping across an uneven sand bar in the middle of Le Channel. Nothing really clean as the tide is fleeing out of the lagoon faster than the white folks who used to live in Detroit. Two (2) humanoids of questionable taste are attempting to do something inside as I write this. Go figure.

PATCH: Even with this tide dropping faster than John Moore's pants there is still a waist-and-below right that is skipping along the middle through to the Snags like Big Bird skipping along Sesame Street. Occasionally, a sizable left rolls up and reels off outside of the Rock/Bulk Head/Meeting Rock. The tide is changing so now is the time. Ten (10) out there now on various craft. Can you tell me how to get, how to get to Sesame streeeeeet.
This blog was brought to you by the letter H and the number 8.
