Daily Surf Report - 4/11/2014

Inspirational crystal quote of the day:
“Always be a first-rate version of yourself and not a second-rate version of someone else.” - Judy Garland

Overcast, foggy and super calm morning.  No wind and very glassy ocean surface - we like.  Temp just in around 54F and a low pressure system may bring some rain to the area again.  We will wait and see.  A small touch of NW windswell and peaking tide has things smooth but on the small side with waves running knee to thigh high - we like.  Good for the log rider or SUP paddler and there seems to be a contingent of them today.  A good day to ride especially while others are working.  Who knows what tomorrow may hold?  Get it now and savor it later.

CHANNEL:  Micro-slider peaks spread out here today.  A few Groin and Channel lefts and a few Seadrift rights.  All are small and all are smooth.  Surfers and SUPs already on it and trying to beat the high tide to its peak.  Size runs up to thigh high and they are rideable on your biggest board.  Don't ask WHY just go.

PATCH:  Diminishing returns here today as the swell drops and we wait for another S to arrive.  Rumor has it another is on the way tonight and winds are currently light.  There are 6 in the water here and pop up peaks can be surfed today as well.  Thigh high is the norm and some may be actually smaller.
