Daily Surf Report - 10/4/2012

A balmy 59F but overcast with marine layer currently in town. Hoping for sunshine later today and nice weather. A bit of wind giving some ocean texture to the surface but still rideable longboard peaks are available for those that want to surf. A good day to grab the log and go for a cruise or rent some gear and learn to surf. Currently empty lineups but a few getting suits on and walking down to the beach.

CHANNEL: Channel still has waves that are mostly thigh but sometimes waist high in size. Still looks smooth, clean and logable on the middle bar. Incoming tide may help but it is working now so get on it. 2 guys heading that way and more to follow.

PATCH: The Patch has thigh to almost waist high waves this morning with peaks popping up all over. Inside, outside, the Snags, Green/Africa et al. Not as glassy as the past few days but big logs and SUPs will score today.

Just a reminder to pack your trash!!!
PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT. Respect the Beach.
