Daily Surf Report - 10/19/2012

1:00pm Update - Sun is now out. No wind and temps are warming up nicely.

Holy crap is it warm - again! 61F but overcast, slightly drizzly and humid. Not such a beautiful start to the day but hoping for sun later today. Still just small surf today but just enough to get a longboard moving and ride a few gliders. Great day for beginners and if significant improvement occurs we will update the report.

CHANNEL: Periodic thigh high waves rolling through on the Groin bar. Let's all count with The Count - 1 SUP, 1 longboarder and 1 shortboarder out. Incoming tide may give a push until it maxes out this afternoon. Outgoing tide has a big rip so be careful and aware.

PATCH: Small but rideable. Patch always has something if you bring your log. Shin burners and ankle busters with the occasional thigh high sneaker set rolling through. Tide is up so rocks are covered but watch your fin as they lurk below. The usual cast of characters are out catching the insiders.

Just a reminder to pack your trash!!!
PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT. Respect the Beach.

TIDES:

LOW: 8:30 am 2.6'
