Daily Surf Report - 4/7/2017

Inspirational Quote of the Day:
"The human race has one really effective weapon, and that is laughter." - Mark Twain

No laughing matter and likely a day only Mr. Warmth could appreciate.  On and off heavy stuff coming down as a new deluge is upon us with rain gauges showing 1.5" or more.  Jupiter in Opposition and massive overnight winds which have since calmed but have left debris and dregs on both land and sea.  Hefty NW swell builds while plenty of SW windswell lingers.  Unfortunately a deep calming period will be required in order to make today a surf day for all but the most N facing beaches.  Try Wait.

CHANNEL: Awash in heaps of whitewater and unformed in many aspects.  Lots of tide and much swell not mixing well with current S winds.  If the rain stops and the winds die off and the tide drops - there will be reason for another look see.  Not sure if any of that will happen today.

PATCH:  SW windswell negotiating high tides and strong winds.  Ruinous remnants of varying proportions suitable for nothing involving slides or rides.  Whatever mileage we put on, we'll take off.  We'll drive home backwards.
