Daily Surf Report - 4/18/2017

Inspirational Quote of the Day:
"In a time of universal deceit - telling the truth is a revolutionary act." - George Orwell

Unlike most whom roam this Earth, I have chosen to stick with the childish joy of adventuring in the rain and it seems to me that I am not alone for I am greeted with the sight of fellow surfers this morning - rain or shine we will be there. No wind, light rain, 57F temp, and a small mix of SW swell / fading NW swell...yes, no, maybe so ? A restless feel fills the ocean this morning but it leaves the question - is it just beginning to boil, or is it simmering down? I suggest you walk those steps to the beach, climb the stairs with the rusted rails and take a peak yourself. Enjoy the serenity, the sights and smells; take what you can get.

CHANNEL: The ocean lost some weight throughout the early morning with promises of a continual decrease - the channel feels it as the water clears and the surf disappears.

PATCH:  Surfers near and far this morning but, as in life, it seems that those who worked the hardest are getting the best waves. Go the extra mile before the strength of the waves peter-out; push yourself and you may find that the hard work pays off.
