Inspirational crystal quote of the day:
“Character is much easier kept than recovered.” -Thomas Paine

Fog on the deck, sun in the sky, chill in the air and peace and joy in my heart today.  I'm filled with awe and wonderment as I take in this beautiful Marin morning.  Fall goodness all around as leaves turn color and drop to the ground and the weather is magical in all respects.  Currently 43F with a kiss of offshore winds grooming things a bit and putting that crystal spray off the backs of the ocean waves.  Does it get better than this?  Well a nice does of swell would help but that is being picky.  Celebrate what the day gives and reward yourself in its natural bounty.  Small surf with only NW windswell and nothing from the S.  High tide boiling up already with plenty of wall slamma-jamma crashers that want your ankles, knees and board for breakfast.  Be nimble, be quick, be safe or be smashed to bits.  Get it now or you will have to wait until low tide later.  Great day for beginners and longboards.

*Earn good surfer karma points and loan some wax to the guy with a clean board that is slipping and sliding around and having trouble staying on.

CHANNEL:  Scattered peaks which keep things lively and spread out.  Small waves popping up here and there and rolling around the region.  Rollers coming in around thigh high + and good for the longboard today.  Not consistent or EPIC but rideable and beautiful morning to get wet.  About 10-12 out and they are spread from the Groin through the Channel and across to Seadrift.  There is plenty of water and more still coming in so take a few warm up paddle laps while you investigate the area then find a peak and make it yours.

PATCH:  High tide and not much swell for this spot today.  I spy a little wave trying to break on the inside but just not enough oomph to fold over.  Maybe later in the afternoon or evening when water levels drop.  Always a good spot to end the day.  Will update later if improvement is significant.  Only 3 birds and 1 seal in the area.
