Daily Surf Report - 6/17/2012
2-Mile will be closing at 5pm today.
Good morning, which direction are we facing, where am I? Who am I? What are we doing here? These are the existential wanderings of a water logged inert surf mind...
It is sunny and warm again, however the surf, unbelievable as it may be, is smaller than yesterday and the wind has turned southie.
Ahh, but make the most of the weather and do something fun, and if you happen to come to the beach today, make sure you pack your trash. We had lots of traffic out here on the sandy realm and lots of trash seems to have migrated to the beach, so remember it's not a dump or a litter box.
Channel: Scattered wind bowl peaks with incoming tide giving us a hope for improvement. Longboards are the call to cut through the chop slop. It is sunny so make the best of the day. Imagine knee to thigh high. Afternoon / evening glass off has been worth the wait.
Patch: Not much right now. A few inside rights that could use more water to get working in a surfable way. Good for the SUP and kayaker looking for a morning paddle. Again, sunny and beautiful.
Just a reminder to pack your trash!!! PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT. Respect the Beach.
TIDES:
Low: 5:12am -0.4'
High: 12:24am 4.3'
Low: 4:40pm 2.8'
High: 10:43pm 5.9'
SUMMER HOURS are now in effect. We are open daily from 9am - 6pm from MAY through OCTOBER. Come out to rent if you need gear. We have a full selection of suits, boots, boards, surf mats and SUPs to rent every day and are only 522 steps to the beach.
