Daily Surf Report - 6/24/2012

Bolinas is in water conservation mode and neither the beach nor the shop has showers for rinsing. You can now purchase a re-usable 2.5 gallon water heater jug from the shop or bring your own. A great accessory for the traveling surfer.

Greetings earth dwelling mammals. Star date 06242012, The star at the center of our solar system is shining, the moon is on its way to the first quarter, 51 degrees, the wind is calm, dogs are barking, kittens are purring, birds chirping, your hybrid car makes no noise, and there is fading windswell, fading but somewhat steady south swell, and glistening sea squirrell waves tumbling along sandbars that your terrestrial mentality cannot begin to comprehend. Sunday funday and a day of rest, seems like a natural time to paddle out on a hefty board, take a nap on the outside, contemplate and get existential as you paddle into a little reeling urchin free dwelling cavern of aqua marine, each wave a snowflake spawned of the tears of Posedien, and relax as the seafoam washes away the drudgery of your timid existence in an ever expanding universe...

Channel: the sand is exploring itself like a pubescent adolescent, groin bar moving steadily towards the boat ramp, and some fun little sectiony waves, about knee to thigh to waist to triple over gnarwhal, out there for the 15 or so surfers on it, spread out and fun looking. With more tide the Malibobo express could zip you along towards the lagoon, offering some zen like trim tourettes with Dingo your favorite Vietnam vet from Ka-San, but its Shabbos so give him a wave dude.

Patch: lots of rocks, if Scrooge McDuck was a meth head he'd be diving head first into the clam patch with a blow torch. About 12 people out longbaording the far far out pyschadelic outside, in the shin to knee to thigh high range and some gnarly SUPers corking out on the inside rocky surgeon's table, going for broke. As the earth rotates, the tide slacks off, and begins to fill, we may see some improvement at this location, one paddle, two paddle, three paddle, four paddle, carries you home.

Just a reminder to pack your trash!!! PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT. Respect the Beach.
