Daily Surf Report - 1/29/2011

As of 1:00pm - Overcast and drizzle are winning the weather battle. There are still waves to be had and plenty of skunks on the roads.

Partial overcast conditions with periodic sun peeking through the fog on the mountain tops. No wind and a mild temp of 52F. Lots of skunks out and about on the roads so be careful. Ocean surface is still smooth and has some energy. Swell has a bit more W in it today.

Channel/Groin: Inside and outside lefts breaking on the sandbars. Deep in the Channel size is waist to chest high and everyone is on longboards. The inner bar at the Groin is waist high + and shorter boards will work here. Seadrift still delivering a consistent right as well. Rode the Vernor 6.0 Mini-Simmons today. Still the fastest, funnest board I have ever ridden. Available to demo by appointment and will be on the rack in 3 sizes in spring.

Patch: Breaking in the knee to thigh high size and rideable. Longboards and SUPs out catching fun, little rights that are very smooth. Will change with the tide but right now is working.
