Daily Surf Report - 12/29/2011

Hide and seek in the fog. Thick morning blanket has brought us smooth and glassy conditions. Starting to lift and there is a glimmer of sunlight working its way through now. 52F, no wind - foggy with good chance of sunshine later today.

Crowds have thinned a bit with the majority in the Channel. Dropping tide is improving conditions there now. Patch has surfers as well with lots of different peaks to choose from. Decent shorebreak as well - good for the handplane, surf mat or boogie board.

Channel: Waist to Chest high on the sets and clean on the deep bar. Not as consistent as yesterday and tide swings will cause changes all day. Longboards and a few SUPs in the lineup. I bet you could get a smaller board working on the inside if you paddle hard.

Patch: Thigh to Waist high all over the place. Breaking way outside then burgering out. Reforms in the middle and rolls through, then breaks fairly well on the inside. Nice slopey wave with lots of potential to walk the nose, glide and trim. Still enough water covering most of the rocks.

Look what Santa just delivered. A 3-pack of Vernor Silver Bullets. Take the wave catching ability of the Mini Simmons and add a high performance shortboard nose to get vertical. Take your surfing to the next level. We have 5.8 / 5.10 / 6.0 in the shop!

Just a reminder to pack your trash!!! PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT. Respect the Beach.

Tides:
Low: 8:43 am 2.4'
High: 2:22 pm 4.9'
Low: 8:143 pm 0.5'
