Daily Surf Report - 12/10/2011

KPFA morning reggae
Full moon festival galore
Dawn lunar eclipse

Oh yeah - if you like clear, sunny mornings with warm temps at the beach come on out today. Currently 40F with warm puffs of air down at the ocean and clear skies through the weekend.

WNW swell in the water and showing. Plenty of fun and rideable surf in town today. Longboards will work best now with tide filling in and high. Mid-lenghts, eggs, fish, Simmons and shortboards still catching waves but will do better on outgoing tide.

Channel: In the Channel there are lefts and rights that are waist high to almost chest on the bigger ones. Smooth and breaking along to the inside. High tide mushing it out a bit but still very surfable. Groin has an inside left and high tide is helping Mali-Bo as well. A few chilly duck dives today as well. Tide switch to low will improve conditions.

Patch: Burgers rolling through on the outside and high tide keeps them breaking to the inside where the rocks are covered up. Waves size is thigh to waist and there are longboarders and SUPs in the water.

Matuse wetsuit 3-day sale starts today. 25% off on all fullsuits Friday through Sunday (12/9 - 12/11). This year treat yourself to the best wetsuit on the market.

Just a reminder to pack your trash!!! PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT. Respect the Beach.

Tides:
Low: 4:29 am 3.0'
High: 10:27 am 6.2'
