Daily Surf Report - 12/18/2011

Overcast, with snippits of sun rays, glassy waters and swell lines filtering through. Not a sunny beach day...yet...but definitely a surf day, so come out and get wet. Temp around 48 degrees and not as cold as it has been in the water.

Channel: Thigh high to chest/shoulder and breaking on the outer bar and grinding through to the in the inside, looks like fun lefts wedging through. Starting to clean up with tide change. Groin wave starting to churn a little. 25-30 people in the water on longboards, but a fish or shortboard could also work on the punchy ones.

Patch: Knee to waist high but still rideable on a log or SUP and breaking cleanly on the inside and to the right, some even further out. Good place to cruise or paddle today. Roughly 15-17 guys out.

Limited Edition Surf Art posters are available in the shop. Numbered and signed by a Sonoma County surfer/artist/historian. Pick one up for the surfer in your family. Makes a great holiday gift and supports a local artist.

Just a reminder to pack your trash!!! PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT. Respect the Beach.

Tides:
High: 5:30 am 5.8'
Low: 11:55 am 1.3'
High: 5:57 pm 3.9'
