Daily Surf Report - 8/8/2010

Congratulations to Jack Ellis who placed second in yesterday's Kahuna Kupuna Classic!! Congratulations also to Lauren Moore who came in third. Great job you guys!!

Coastal cloudiness and overcast conditions start the morning again, broken record, right? Temps are mild but the wind is not as cooperative again and is lightly onshore causing some ocean texture. Saturday had overcast-ness all day which meant the wind never blew too hard, but it never got sunny.

There is a still a bit of south swell pulse in the water sometimes mixing with the NW windswell. Sets at The Patch were knee high currently, look for improvement as tide fill in a bit later in the day. There were some fun ones before dark last pm, we'll see if that repeats today.
The Channel still has the most surfers out and has waves in the 1-2'+ range and a little bigger on the Seadrift side. Mostly longboarders but saw a few fish as well.

Tides:
High - 11:58 am 4.9'
Low - 4:29 pm 2.6'
High - 10:42 pm 6.9'

We are now open daily from 9am - 6pm for our summer hours through October. Come out to rent if you need gear. We have a full selection of suits, boots, boards and SUPs to rent every day and are only 522 steps to the beach.

Come by the shop to view our new inventory of boards and wetsuits. We just re-stocked the rack with everything from fishes to classic longboards. Check out our new run of clothing as well from Ando & Friends, HippyTree, Carve and Singlefin.
