Daily Surf Report - 8/21/2010

Afternoon Update - 2:00pm
Surf has picked up with the South swell now showing consistently in the now crowded Patch. Waves are rideable both outside on longboards and inside on shortboards. Sets are shoulder high +. Sun is breaking through as well.

Morning overcast (again) and misty but not as much fog or drizzle today. Temps are currently mild and wind is very light. Ocean surface is smooth. Sun comes out around 1pm and the afternoons and evenings have been nice and warm.

The Channel / Groin has surf that is rideable and the waves are in the knee high + range. Longboards are working best but a fish could work on the inside Mali-BO section. The Patch is showing signs of life and has 6 surfers currently on it. South swell is starting to show in pulses. Inside waves look thigh high. Outside waves are smaller but as the tide fills in it will improve. Last night waves were waist high in the Patch.

Just a reminder to pack your trash!!! PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT. Respect the Beach.

Tides:
High - 11:28 am 4.9'
Low - 4:12 pm 2.7'
High - 10:11 pm 6.0'
