Daily Surf Report - 8/7/2010

Coastal cloudiness and overcast conditions start the morning. Temps are mild but the wind is not as cooperative again and is lightly onshore causing some ocean texture.

The surf has picked up a bit and there is a South swell pulse in the water sometimes mixing with the NW windswell. Sets at The Patch were waist high and very rideable outside of the rock. There are some waves inside as well to be had. The Channel still has the most surfers out and has waves in the 2'+ range and a little bigger on the Seadrift side. Mostly longboarders but saw a few fish as well.

Good luck to Jack Ellis who is competing in the Kahuna Kapuna Classic in Pacifica today. Hopefully the south causes some good surf. Bring home the trophy Jack!
