Hope runs high as sunshine and clear skies return to grace our hamlet. Temper your enthusiasm as we still have deep high tides on the upswing which are making access a determined effort and generally swamping out the swell and surf. WNW swell continues to hold but too much water not letting it strut its stuff this morning. The weather is wonderful with cool temps of 53F and little to no wind. Vitamin D is in play and a hike now / surf later plan could yield positive results. For now the early visual and verbal reports are as expected - Try Wait.
CHANNEL: High tide sending foamy waves up the boat ramp along with some rocks and branches. Timing is everything if you choose to throw yourself and your board out there. Do not go forth with reckless abandon but with a concerted effort that is well thought out. Once ocean bound you will find rollers in the Channel that are semi-rideable. Waist high peaks that quickly dissolve into the deeper water are the norm for now and the next few hours as the tide reaches peak. Afternoon outgoing tide suck could yield some explorable pits but for now just a bit too much water to make it EPIC.
PATCH: Relatively flat here as the swell direction is not Patch favorable. High water levels keeping things under wraps and also making access a journey undertaken by few. Maybe a day and destination for a paddle but surfing looks N/A at this time.
