Daily Surf Report - 10/31/2014

Inspirational crystal quote of the day:
"True knowledge exists in knowing that you know nothing."  - Socrates

WE WILL BE CLOSING AT 5:00PM TODAY. DOORS WILL RE-OPEN AT 10AM TOMORROW.
Boo!  South winds and stormy precursors assail us this morning.  Starting to rain and no ghosts, ghouls or goblins are out or about.  Temp is balmy at 61F but looks to be day to seek comfort in other activities besides surfing.  Fading NW swell is all but gone and the high winds and high tide are making for a mostly frothy mess of the ocean at this time.  A few cars stopping to take a look but no one actively putting on a suit just yet.

CHANNEL:  Occasional Groin bar left emerging from the wash.  Pushing thigh high and choppy with wind whipped seas.  High tide has it full of water but S winds knocking everything that might want to break down and out.  Scary situation and appropriate for Halloween.

PATCH:  What the what??!!  Nothing doing here this morning as swells are nil and winds are up.  Ankle breakers at best and sloshy with high tide.  Not even a SUP in view and for good reason.  Try wait for post storm activities and new swells to appear.  Trick or Treat.

PACK IT IN. PACK IT OUT.
