Set your pens down, stop typing, and come on out to the beach to celebrate your day off, having worked hard all year. The sun greets us this Labor Day as we kick off the morning to another beautiful and fun day. The waves are coming through consistently as crowds are already congregating at both spots. Not a breath of wind as the air temps are in the mid 50s and heating up, bound to hit the mid 70s again today. Bring your logs, your families, and get here quick as parking is already becoming scarce and the beach is filling up. Don't forget your sunscreen, towel, and stoke!
CHANNEL: Waves are breaking in the knee to thigh range, cleanly peeling across in front of the groin pole. In the middle channel it's the same story with less of a crowd as of now. Over on seadrift a few rights are peeling through in the knee range and will hopefully pick up later today after the tide shifts. Bring your log and stoke as these waves are made for style and bliss.
PATCH: Waves breaking in the knee high plus range as they are rolling through from the meeting rock to the inside Snags. Some are able to connect all the way through, but as for now it's one or the other. A small crowd of about 8 logs and 2 SUPs are out on a conveyor-belt of rides rotating in the peaceful morning. With the tide shift later this morning, we can expect improvement and more fun.
