Daily Surf Report - 9/2/2014

Inspirational crystal quote of the day:
"The future starts today, not tomorrow." - Pope John Paul II

It's as if mother nature knows when the festivities are over. After a sunny holiday weekend and many a fun time, the fog has rolled back in encompassing the bay. No wind to speak of as the air temps are in the mid 50s and bound to stay around there today until the fog burns off if it does at all. Waves are still coming through in the knee to thigh high range with consistent lulls between sets. Nice day to sleep in and have some coffee, maybe read a book.

CHANNEL: Waves are breaking in the knee to thigh range in front of the groin pole and over in the middle channel. Not much over on Seadrift, but conditions are glassy all around. A handful of logs are out having fun with the lightest crowd we've seen all week. Bring your larger watercraft today.

PATCH:  Outside patch has rollers in the thigh high range that just keep rolling all the way to the inside Snags before breaking in the knee high range. No one is out, but it is glassy and rides are to be had especially after the tide shifts later this morning.
