Daily Surf Report - 9/4/2010

Good morning! We start the day with coastal cloudiness and overcast skies. There are patches of blue starting to come through and the sun should be out shortly to give us some warm temps. Nice surfing conditions with no wind and very glassy ocean surface. Pod of dolphins swimming around and a jumping Thresher shark adds to the morning ambiance.

The Channel has a nice little, smooth little, racy little left that is breaking on 2 decent sandbars and is rideable all the way to the inside Groin pole. The waves are waist high or better and very fun today. There are also rights breaking across the Channel and over on the Seadrift side as well. Everyone is on longboards but a fish could work on the inside sections. The Patch has waves on the inside and is thigh to waist high in size. There are longboarders out surfing there and it may get a little better as the tide fills in this morning.

Just a reminder to pack your trash!!! PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT. Respect the Beach.

Tides:
High - 10:03 am 4.6'
Low - 2:31 pm 2.9'
High - 8:36 pm 6.2'
