Daily Surf Report - 1/8/2016

Inspirational Quote Of The Day:
"The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance." - Alan Watts

Tempered and chilled out with ominous vibes in the early dead calm.  Ground fog creeps and seeps into the crevices though coastal skies remain partially clear and tinted.  Heaving NW swell delivering emphatic energy that is encrypted and hard to decipher - though some are trying.  Much mocking movement as nothing typical is present upon our waters today.  No resolute course to follow and navigation-ally difficult in general.  Mind the splashers upon the ramps as they strike without warning and will fill pockets and shoes with watery prizes.

CHANNEL:  Heavy helpings with large dumping desires have shifted the focal point to directly in front of the boat ramp.  A measured approach can yield rewards as accessible breakers allow for quick drops and pops with heights up to head high.  Split peaks though challenged and lopsided have even sub-experts diving in and sliding along.  Violent exits may be experienced if you are not in tune with your new surroundings.  Though many are being taken upon the head there are those few open faces that offer a welcome reprieve.

PATCH:  Seemingly lost at sea as no rhyme or reason seems present in the current contributions.  A few wayward sailors have set course for this destination and are meeting with less than mixed results.  Building tide has  the urge to push while crests of consideration elude even the keen sliders. Seabirds swarm about seeking jettisoned offerings.  The whole wide world seems imponderous and free.
