Daily Surf Report - 10/9/2013

Inspirational crystal quote of the day:
"Go to Heaven for the climate, Hell for the company." - Mark Twain

Good morning campers! It's yet another brisk and clear Autumn morning here at the beach as the temperature is creeping in at 50 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. The smallish swell that was here yesterday has diminished somewhat but there is always hope. Maybe with the tide turn-around we'll see it bump up a touch?

CHANNEL:  Waist high on the outside middle bar but nothing really that clean. The lagoon is draining right now and fouling up the little wedges that are trying to roll. Again, it's probably a waiting game as it's always about the same three things here; Conditions, conditions, conditions. Three (3) out now on logs and a mini-Simmons making the most of a beautiful Wednesday morning.

PATCH:  Knee high nothings are what is the predominate occurrence (or lack there of) in the Patch this 'morn. Every now and again something hits in the knee high range in the Snags but not a whole lot. Once that "higher than a Georgia pine" tide comes back in the Patch will be closed down just like a State Park. Russ is out there now on his Janitor board giving the place a good scrubbing for when a swell eventually hits.

PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT.  Respect the Beach.

LOW:  8:40 am  2.6'
