Daily Surf Report - 2/22/2013
Good morning crustaceans! Another beautiful day in West Marin. Sunny, no wind, brisk at 42F but will warm up. Still getting some localized windswell with bouy reading 9' @ 12 secs. Enough to get in the water and ride some waves today. Again a glassy ocean and peaky little rollers in both spots. Incoming tide has just peaked and there is plenty of beach as well. Great day to longboard and great for beginners as well.
CHANNEL: Sectiony today with the peak high tide but occasional right working off the Groin pole bar. Still a few waves coming through that are worth riding and if you make it into the Mali-Bo region bonus length rides are available. Size goes thigh high + and a longboard is the board of the day. Tide is dropping now so shape may improve.
PATCH: Waist high outside and smaller on the inside of the Patch. Move waves today with new windswell and about 8 in the water on logs and SUPs with more heading over. Less water will get the Snags going and that spot has been super fun. Grab your foam and ride.
