Daily Surf Report - 8/3/2012

There actually is a steep south swell out there. Showing on the bouys but not here in Bolinas yet. More tide may help let it in later today.
Overcast to start the morning but sun was out by noon yesterday. Moderate on-shore wind again this morning. Negative tide has bottomed out so lots of rocks and exposed sand showing. Incoming tide and a decrease in wind is your best bet for better surf later today. Currently 55F air temp.

Channel: Low tide / middle bar / Groin pole waves are trying to work with surf in the thigh high size. A few gamers are out there on logs making due with the current conditions. Sloppy now but could clean up later with more water. Cross fingers.

Patch: A few waves outside past the meeting rock. Pieces and parts at best but only 1 surfer in the water scoring it all to himself. Look for this spot to get better with more tide, less wind and hopefully the south swell filling in. Currently knee/thigh.
