Daily Surf Report - 8/16/2012

9'0" Linden Longboard with Double Headed Surf Pelican Totem

Custom Artwork by Walter Blair Tom

For Sale at 2 Mile. Surf it, ride it, Put it on your wall.

South swell sliders are here, come hang ten on the totem.

NOTE: Due to the high tides lately, we here at 2-Mile can't stress enough about being careful around the boat ramp when entering and exiting the water. Dings are no bueno on your board or on your person. Just use common sense. Thanks.

Light marine layer. Calm and balmy at 59F. Glassy and clear ocean - think blue/green in color. Sun will be out by later morning or early afternoon. Surf still here and rideable in the waist high size. Better on the bigger boards with pleny of waves to go around. Great day for beginners to rent some gear and learn to surf.

Channel: Small, smooth and glassy on both Channel bars. Waist high from Sea Drift to the middle bar to the Groin Pole and NO WIND as of yet. About 6 surfers and 3 SUP's enjoying the smooth taste. Come out and get some today.

Patch: The Patch is in the thigh high range at the moment. One longboard out there having it to himself. As tide moves higher should still continue to work. Keep your log ready and an eye on the Patch.

Just a reminder to pack your trash!!! PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT. Respect the Beach.
