Daily Surf Report - 1/8/2012

Greetings and salutations surfers. This may be the first day in a while that the parking is not hectic, but there is a reason. Surf has dropped considerably and the tide is pushing in. A giant squid has attacked a sperm whale and Ahab is currently harpooning himself in hopes of bringing about more swell.

Bo-Beautiful morning with clear, blue skies and full sun in town. No wind and current temp of 45F with clear and dry weather expected to continue.

Channel: Surf is in the...knee, thigh, chicken wing range, free range...there are currently 5 surfers, a dog, several seals, and 2 SUPers in the water, getting waves, but thinsgs! are a little bogged down. Tide switch should, hopefully, help.

Patch: waves in the shin to knee range, 2 surfers out, rocks covered, margaritas later.

Another great part of the weather we are having are the sunsets. Here is one from earlier in the week.

Just a reminder to pack your trash!!! PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT. Respect the Beach.

Tides:
Low: 4:09 am 2.9'
High: 10:11 am 6.4'
Low: 5:04 pm -0.7'
High: 12:18 pm 4.9'
