Daily Surf Report - 12/23/2016

Inspirational Quote of the Day:
"A comfort zone is a beautiful place, but nothing ever grows there." - Unknown

Rain to dampen roads but not spirits as the holiday countdown continues and miracles are on the horizon.  Resolute at 47F with moderate S winds in play.  Dense NW swell in stages of decay still showing and glowing with energy to spare.  Knocked down but not out by onshore winds - there are still discernible shapes though the form has taken a beating.

CHANNEL: Less in size and profile as positive NW energy meets negative gusting winds.  Chopping off wave tops and generally dismantled offerings have most staring and few caring.  Peaked tide allows for less surf rides though mats, boogies and hand-planes may find the whomping to their likings.

PATCH: The inner Snags show some vital wind protection and currently have the toothy jags covered.  Boils and bubbles will direct while pinnipeds view the activity with feigned interest.  The potential for surfboard riding exists for those determined to make it a reality.
