Daily Surf report - 6/30/2014

Inspirational crystal quote of the day:
“When we talk to God, we're praying. When God talks to us, we're schizophrenic." - Jane Wagner

Good morning everyone and welcome to another week of summer. Yes, it is another spectacular morning here at the beach. It's already 58 degrees and the sun is up smiling upon our little coastal hamlet as the birds are all out singing in the key of Laura Nyro. Nary any wind as I write this but a little puff or two may come along later in the day. There is a bit of a bump in the water as well, but as it is with this time of year; the bigger the board, the better the glide.
Todays tip: Sun block, sun block, sun block.

CHANNEL:  With this low tide at the moment, there are exposed sand bars a'plenty as the lagoon is flowing out faster than Giants fans of the 1980's from Candle Stick Park in the 8th inning during another shelacking. Still, on the boat ramp side of the Groin Pole there is a section-y, waist high left to cruise upon. Wait for the tide shift and as that window opens, jump on in before it closes. Three (3) on logs taking gas as I write this.

PATCH: It's "rock around the clock" at the Clam Patch this morning. Very exposed rocks as the twins grin hello to anyone who'll pay attention. There is a slow, below waist gurgler that is coming in from just beyond the Rock/Meeting Rock/Bulk Head that attempts to go left but ends up straight-off. Eight (8) or so various craft from big to enormous are out there now.

Daily Surf Report - 6/29/2014

Inspirational crystal quote of the day:
“The most important thing is to enjoy your life - to be happy- it's all that matters.” - Audrey Hepburn

The doctor is in this morning and ordering a healthy dose of vitamin D as the sun shines in all it's glory. Not a cloud in the sky or a breathe of wind kissing your face as conditions are shaping up to be a very tranquil day here at the beach. There are endless possibilities on a day such as this with the ocean slowly making it's way towards our little bay and the birds singing in a Disney fashion. If only they were helping us clean our houses and to hang our laundry to dry as well. Temperatures are heating up from a nice 58F this morning with a decent sized WNW swell pushing it's way around the mesa making for some fun longboard waves. Tide is low this morning so expect the shape to improve through the afternoon as we head towards high tide. Bring your family and abide the doctor's orders and see what the day holds in store.

CHANNEL:  Tide is peaking in the negative this morning as you can island hop from sandbar to sandbar. Wait for the tide to fill in before setting your sights here as only a quick drop and turn in the knee high range is to be had right now. Have a late morning and head out with more water over the bars to be able to have nice long gliding lefts this afternoon.

PATCH: Rocky kingdoms of the deep are exposed with the negative tide, but waist+ waves are still finding their way in just past the outside the meeting rock where 4 SUPs and 5 logs are doing battle with each other on a conveyor-belt of rights. Find yourself on the inside here for the reform as well in the knee to thigh high range. Let the good times roll as the tide comes in and the waves start to line-up more and more. This is certainly the spot this morning till the more water fills in (and still may be later today). Enjoy the day, bring your positivity, and waves will come to you.

Daily Surf Report - 6/28/2014

Inspirational crystal quote of the day:
“Believe in your dreams and they may come true; believe in yourself and they will come true.” - Unknown

Minimally magnificent morning.  Glassy, gleaming and geared for greatness.  Find your path of inspiration and follow it to your dreams.  Let nothing stand in your way and never ask WHY? It is all out there for the taking today as we start with sunny skies and light offshore puffs.  Temp 57F and rising due to high pressure weather system.  Expect warmth.  Whipped windswell and SW swell combo-ing up to create longboard waves.  You'll need some more water to fill in to really make a day of it but tides are on the march IN and water levels throughout the majority of the day become favorable.  Is it a surf day?  If you want it to be it is.  Please let us know your results.

CHANNEL:  Negative low tide just starting the turnaround and heading back in.  Exposed bars and chopped up surface should start to smooth out as the water levels rise.  Very beautiful weather and the bars have settled and are set for glory and ready to strut their stuff.  For now just knee high wave parts that give enough to make a quick drop and go but provide little surface area to glide.  This will change by late morning and into the afternoon as will the crowd which is currently nil.  Find your inner stoke and let it loose on the world today.

PATCH:  Listless and low tide as things have bottomed out and are in a state of lull.  Inertia will get things moving back in a positive direction and the good vibes will flow again.  South swell efforts being made well outside past the meeting rock and further N in the Green/Africa exploration regions.  Inside Snag rights will require more water and therefore some time to get going and for now nearly flat overall.  Has shown itself and delivered thigh high + waves and should later today but for now No Water = No Waves.  Simple math and not rocket science.  Keep one eye open for improvement, one eye keen for rocks and your third eye open of new energy.  Empty lineup.

Daily Surf Report - 6/27/2014

Inspirational crystal quote of the day:
“If you don't know where you are going, you might wind up someplace else. ” - Yogi Berra

Glistening, glassy and magnificent morning here in the Bolinas hamlet of peace.  All hands on deck as the sun is out in full force and temp reads 60F.  Weekend warming trend in full effect starting NOW.  Unlock the secret to your happiness and success today by jumping in the ocean and letting your cares wash away.  Lack of wind and lack of tide not deterring the chosen few that are partaking in the watery goodness that exists today.  NW windswell and small background S giving just enough to make waves happen and the day could not be more Bo-beautiful.  Perfect for beginners and amateurs alike and also the seasoned barnacle as well.

CHANNEL:  A little bit low tide but those bars are set up and the shape of the small waves is nice.  Just knee high grinders across that Groin bar left and a few miscellaneous leftover rights in the Channel making for a sparkling morning of micro-sliderish surf conditions.  Expect better when the tide marches in which is already happening although slowly.

PATCH:  Low tide rock exposure but still has a nice inside right hugging the Snags.  Slopey and soft but rolling along nicely to the inside sand.  A slow boat ride for sure but pull out the big log and plank spank the morning away.  Out past the meeting rocks hints of the South swell showing up with thigh high waves materializing then fizzling back to the depths after short rides.

Daily Surf Report - 6/26/2014

Inspirational crystal quote of the day:
“Sometimes it's not the strength but gentleness that cracks the hardest shells.” - Richard Paul Evans

Currently overcast and mild with temp already up to 59F and the sun threatening to make a break through the clouds.  Calm, quiet and windless as well with a glassy ocean and a bit of rideable surf to boot!  Plenty for the groms and gremmies to stay stoked on.  We still have that Spring-timey mix of NW windswell and SW grounswell that looks to combo up and produce waves.  Low tide now but favorable throughout the rest of the day as it fills in and holds good levels.  Wax em up and head on out as the day is shaping up to be just fine.

CHANNEL:  Just below waist high but shapely and clean lefts just outside of the Groin pole this morning.  Incoming tide will help even more with some push and extra water to roll over the bars.  Looks loggable and fun with the deeper Channel bar and Seadrift feeling the good vibes as well this morning.  If the wind holds off this spot will work all day.  Currently 4 surfers on it.

PATCH:  Prepare to paddle as Green/Africa has a breaking wave and a holding left.  Size resembles waist high + and while there are long waiting periods it is a rideable wave for your longboard.  Just over, around and on the meeting rock a right will rear up and break as well.  Not nearly as big but a bit more regular in appearance with size going thigh to waist.  Empty lineup now but should have a few takers and the tide continues to fill in.

Daily Surf Report - 6/25/2014

Inspirational crystal quote of the day:
“If at first you don't succeed, blame your parents." - Marcelene Cox

End Of The Road  by Hoskin Firth

The scene: A little beach hamlet on a sunny, Northern California morning. Two raccoon's, Albert and Gary are sipping coffee while pondering the ocean and discussing the days activities...

Albert: "My goodness, what a gorgeous morning!"

Gary: "You said it, pal! It doesn't get much better than this!"

Albert: "It's supposed to get warm later today...what do ya think the temperature is right now? 59, or so?"

Gary: "Yeah, that feels about right. This side wind is a bit strong but look how it sorta' comes from the North a bit as well. See those waves over there? It's...it's...I dunno...feathering them a bit."

Albert: "Yeah, I see it. Those stupid humanoids over there seem to be enjoying it."

Gary: "Yep. Strange creatures."

Both raccoons take long, thoughtful sips from their coffee's and continue to stare out into the Pacific.

Albert: "Yep. a great day indeed."

Gary: "Well, not so great for Vince."

Albert: "Vince the squirrel or Vince the skunk?"

Gary: "Vince the skunk. You didn't see the carnage this morning over on Elm?"

Albert: "No. Did he finally get hit by a car?"

Gary: "Sure did, amigo. What a mess and what a stink! Yeesh!"

Albert: "....wow...."

Both raccoons take another long sip of coffee.

Gary: "Well, let's get going. All of the humanoids are beginning to stir and I want to get outta here before they start with their cars and littering and all."

Albert: "Okie dokie..... too bad about Vince, though."

Gary: "Yeah. But y'know, Al.... at the end of our time it seems like all we are is another grease spot on the road for some stupid Irish Setter to roll in."

Albert: "Geez, you're SUCH an inspiration, Gary, y'know that? ha ha ha!"

Gary: " Yeah, I'm pretty deep."

The End

CHANNEL:  Waist (+) emerald wedges that are lolling in just out-and-inside of the Groin Pole. Some are breaking pretty clean while others are doing the Section-y Boogaloo! The tide is coming in for breakfast while seven (7) bipeds are logging their troubles away.

PATCH:  Thigh high slow pokes are grumbling and mumbling across the rocks this morning BUT there seems to be a little left located at the corner of The Patch and Green/Africa. Occasionally something resembling a wave in the waist high range rears its head outside but these it just dissipates back into the brine. There is also a very sizable left waaaaaaaay outside of Green/Africa, so if that interests you, pack a lunch, bring your passport and paddle, paddle, paddle. No one here as I write this.

Daily Surf Report - 6/24/2014

WE WILL BE CLOSING AT 5PM TONIGHT, SHARP!

Inspirational crystal quote of the day:
“Weather forecast for tonight: dark." - George Carlin

Good morning to all of you plank riders of the brine. It's a stupendous morning out here at the beach! Holy beans! The temperature is sauntering in at a wonderful 59 degrees, the sun is up grinning it's Captain Jack Sparrow gold toothed grin, as the birds are out in numbers singing in the key of Ella Fitzgerald! The wind is breezing it's way in at an off-shore to side-shore direction. There is even a bit of a South swell in the water. Mm mm good! So, saddle up and ride them doggies across the aquatic frontier! Yee-haw!

CHANNEL:  Waist (+/-) greenies are rolling in just outside of the Groin Pole. They are not traveling too far but good enough for a first down plus some extra yardage. Six (6) mystic travelers of the log brigade are out there now as I write this gliding their collective morning cares away.

PATCH:  Waist-to-below right hand rollers are finding their way to the Bolinas shores this morning at the Patch...HOWEVER, they are starting way inside over the rocks right on the Snags/Patch border. You will confront one of "the twins" upon take-off, so be mindful of that and respect their destruction of fin-box capabilities! Two (2) lumberjacks out there now chopping wood on logs through the rock forest.

Daily Surf Report - 6/23/2014

Inspirational crystal quote of the day:
“I always wanted to be somebody, but now I realize I should of been more specific." - Lily Tomlin

Good morning everyone and a happy Monday to you all! It's a little gray (or, grey) out there right now but since the wind hasn't shown up yet it's all sassy & glassy. The temperature is slipping in at 55 degrees but it promises to warm up quite nicely later today. There is even a little bump in the H2O for a change, so with a big enough hydrodynamic vehicle one may obtain a glide this morning that may very well help you on your personal journey to enlightenment....or, it'll just have you lighten up. Lastly, surf camps are well in session now, so please be mindful of the groms as they are just learning this wonderful truth we simply call 'Stoke.'

CHANNEL:  Thigh high wedges of emerald joy are slipping and sliding their way across the Middle Bar, both inside as well as outside. Even the Groin Pole is trying to get in on the act. They are a bit slow and can be section-y but with a little patience and a keen eye one can most definitely find a joyful glide. Eight (8) logs are clocking time here as I write this.

PATCH:  Thigh-to-below-thigh are slipping across the rocky Patch this 'morn. This is very typical for this time of year.... however, there is an occasional left popping-up on the border of the Patch and Green/Africa. Only 'Half Full' out there now on that border town doing thigh high shots of Jesus and Tequila.

Daily Surf Report - 6/22/2014

Inspirational crystal quote of the day:
“The visible sign of utter love is an undying smile.” - Ravi Shankar

Sun shining this beautiful summer morning as we welcome the new season with a vengeance.  The temp is in at 54F and not a hint of wind to ruffle your feathers.  Overall at top 5 beach day for June.  Nice little bit of windswell surf action occurring as well with crystalline, serpentine and just in time dose of waves for your longboard.  Low volume boards need not apply.  Get out there and experience the stoke and aloha that the ocean is capable of supplying.  It is out there and if you seek you will find.

CHANNEL:  NW windswell of a decently appropriate direction materializing as rideable lefts in the solidly thigh high configuration.  Deeper Channel bar is where it's at today with a few inside Mali-Bo rights to sample as well.  A few rights appear and most waves bend and wind their merry way to the inside.  Bring a big board and have a big smile.  Joy prevails here and all that enter with positivity will be rewarded with waves.  Incoming tide a big help and it may swamp out mid morning but fear not as the day is long and the sun shines bright.

PATCH:  Solitude and peace prevail here today.  Glassy and flat with zero surfers enjoying the lack of waves .  Micro-slider waves of the ankle high variety have the ability to appear but infrequently at best.

Daily Surf Report - 6/21/2014

Inspirational crystal quote of the day:
“He who wishes to secure the good of others, has already secured his own.” -
Confucius

New beginnings as we embark into the Summer Solstice today.  The longest day of the year so extra opportunities to make it memorable.  Fill your pockets with crystals and get out into the wild blue yonder and make it a wild ride.  We again start the morning with sunshine and no winds.  Temp 54F and warming nicely.  Expect greatness again today from Mother Nature.  Glistening and glassy ocean expanses await your hydrodynamic vessel of choice.  Working windswell and incoming tide getting the morning started with some early rideable waves.  Lots of ins, outs and what have yous involved today so keep your eyes on the tides and hope the wind stays slack.

CHANNEL:  Tide incoming for another hour gives that push you are looking for and peaks materialize over sandbars.  Good stuff happening in the Channel and across at Seadrift where rights in the thigh to nearing waist high region are being ridden on longboards.  Inside Mali-Bo waves also working with a drop in size to thigh high but no less fun on the bigger board.  A scattered contingent of surfers mashing is up out there.  Throw on the suit and join the party our submarine has seats for 22 on the lower deck.

PATCH:  Solitude and peace prevail here today.  Glassy and flat with 1 surfer enjoying the excellence.  Micro-slider waves of the knee high variety may pass through on the inside but only for the chosen few that know that key to total consciousness.  Boards 10' and above will revel in the glory today.  Lesser boards not so much.

Daily Surf Report - 6/20/2014

Inspirational crystal quote of the day:
“Sometimes your joy is the source of your smile, and sometimes your smile is the source of your joy.” - Thich Nhat Hanh - Vietnamese Buddhist Monk

If you like beautiful weather then today is your kind of day.  Full of sunshine without a whisper of wind.  Current temp is 53F and that will warm considerably during the day.  Liquid glass ocean which is not a good thing for surfers but the semi-occasional, infrequently seen and almost ridden, possibly likely to break wave pops up to add to the greatness of the day.   Go for a paddle or a swim.  Frolic with seals and crustaceans. Hike with marmots and foxes.  Get outside and celebrate the gifts we have all been given today.

CHANNEL:  Tide dropping but not freight train style.  Still will have some S pull and starting to rip things up a bit.  Mali-Bo looks to have a wave or two and every so often the Channel bar has a wave hit and fold over that is rideable on a longboard.  Size rolls in at knee high + and that may just be enough for you today.  Take what is available and given and the horizon holds no secrets and very little swell either.  1 surfer and NUPper on it.  1 heading out and 1 thinking long and hard about it.  TGIF.

PATCH:  Reeling, dealing and feeling it with a knee high micro spinner that was witnessed on the inside.  No surfers in the area so not sure it really happened.  If a wave breaks and no one is on it did it really break?  A good question to ponder while you wait for the next roller to appear.  Bring the biggest board and go make something out of nothing.

Daily Surf Report - 6/19/2014

Inspirational crystal quote of the day:
“We shall never know all the good that a simple smile can do.” - Mother Teresa

Cool, calm and somewhat collected morning here at the beach.  We have coastal overcast but not a breath of wind.  Makes for a glassy ocean and since the swellular activity is low it is near lake-like in its form.   Just meager NW windswell attempting to produce surfable waves today.  Temp is in at 54F and the clouds should burn off soon and give way to another beautiful day with warm temps.  For now it is a waiting game for better surf and sun.  Eventually they both will come so make the best of what the day offers and find your happiness within.

CHANNEL:  Tide is outgoing and draining quickly.  Mind the rip or visit Stinson on the watery express train.  Hug the Bolinas side of things at the Groin pole and you will be rewarded with knee high crumblers, mysto micro-peelers that are chopped and ripped from the tidal action.  1 surfer is on it and making it look almost worth the effort.  Tide fills in during the afternoon and if winds remain calm there likely will be a little spinning right to sample but for now just pieces and parts and not very clean at all.

PATCH:  Nada mucho.  Flat conditions conducive to kayaks and touring SUPs, swimming and fishing but not surfing yet.

Daily Surf Report - 6/18/2014

Inspirational crystal quote of the day:
"Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened." - Dr. Seuss

Good morning and a happy 'hump day' to all of you slip & sliders of the brine. It's ANOTHER tremendously gorgeous morning here at the beach! WOW! The temperature is sneaking in at a deceptively cool 53 degrees but it feels much, much warmer as temperatures will climb steadily throughout the day. The sun is up on time today and splashing us with golden goodness and plenty of vitamin D (still, be sure to wear your sun block) and the winds are sleeping in as they haven't showed up as of yet. The swell is still not really here but again, great day to do all sorts of outdoor activities. Per usual, I'll throw down whatever positive info that may/could transpire right here if need be. Until then, sit back, relax and just dig yo'self.

CHANNEL: Draining lagoon again but with thigh (at best) high crumblers that are meeting the charging, out-going tide making it a spot for the Kooks, the Desperate or the brain damaged. SUPER slow, resembling the Patch on a teeny, tiny day. However, at the Groin Pole, six (6) hopefuls on surfboards and janitorial boats are there now riding straight off for about 30-40 yards and then coming to a complete stop. Maybe later with the tide change...?

PATCH:  Nope.

Daily Surf Report - 6/17/2014

Inspirational crystal quote of the day:
"If the only prayer you ever say in your entire life is thank you, it will be enough." - Meister Eckhart

Good morning and good day to all of you purveyors of crystalline barrels and emerald wedges! It's another GLORIOUS day here at the beach. The temperature is tip-toeing in at a modest 52 degrees, but it will warm up later today as that lucky 'ol sun is up and rolling around heaven all day. Even the birds are out singing in the key of Maurice White (ala mid-1970's Earth, Wind & Fire) because that pesky wind is not to be seen or felt anywhere in town as I write this! Unfortunately, nor is any swell to be seen but what the heck? It's a gorgeous day! Why not hike the beach on this extremely low tide? Or, take out a janitor board and tour around while sweeping up? Hike Mount Tam? Ride bikes? Skate an empty swimming pool? Call you mother....the possibilities are endless. It is truly a day to be grateful for!

CHANNEL: Draining lagoon and absolutely flat conditions. Fishing comes to mind right about now...

PATCH:  Sorry. The Patch is shut off this morning. Loads of rocks to explore. Look at sea life, get to know where the bigger inside rocks are for future reference, find lost fins...some with the fin-box still attached.

Daily Surf Report - 6/16/2014

Inspirational crystal quote of the day:
"Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future." - John F. Kennedy

"Oh-what-a-beautiful-morning....Oh-what-a-beautiful-daaaaaaaay...!" Greetings all of you amphibious plank spankers and janitorial purveyors of the most custodial kind. It's the beginning of another week and it is a wonderful day to be alive! The temperature is galloping in at a most pleasant 54 degrees as the sun is up and grinning it's gold toothed goodness down upon this ocean side hamlet with love and ease. The birds are all out singing in the key of the recently departed great, Jimmy Scott but that wind......whew! Blowing like Dizzy in one heck of a tizzy. Not a lot of swell happening either but this could change and change is good. I'll keep you all posted right here if this does indeed transpire.

CHANNEL: The tide is so low right now that it's scraping the bottom and leaving a shower of sparks in it's wake. Since it's about ankle high there is only Josh Churchman over there with his RC surfer getting little head-high lefts. Other than that, humans are staying away.

PATCH:  It's rocking out over here at the patch, and by rocking out I don't mean with a swell. Super low tide has exposed and is continuing to expose the rocks. HOWEVER, I suggest going out there and learning where all of the bigger species of rockage are (the twins, etc.) AND be sure to look at all of the sea life that dwells there as this is a great opportunity to do so. Just watch your step as it's slippery and be sure to look, not touch. No surfers here as there is absolutely nothing to surf here as of yet.

Daily Surf Report - 6/15/2014

Inspirational crystal quote of the day:
"My dad is my hero" - Harry Connick Jr.

Happy father's day to all you loving dads.
Success is just on the horizon for all you bedheads lounging around this morning. The day is anew with the sun shining bright and the skies crystal clear blue; The coffee is warm, the boards freshly waxed and the water is awaiting it's morning warriors to dare the exposed rocks and sandbars. Bring all your father's out in the afternoon and show them how much you appreciate them with a good surf. It's a crisp 55F this morning with just the slightest breath meandering it's way by. Tide is in the negative as we wake up today so very slight surf is available, but don't let that stop you today as a NW windswell and SW swell combo throughout the region today. Expect it all to pick up as the tide shifts and fills in to provide a little extra push and size. This ain't no place for the weary kind, so take that double shot of espresso and head on out.

CHANNEL: Tide is bottomed out and the sandbars make a walkway across the channel. Some may find entertainment in leapfrog today as you can hop from sandbar to sandbar all the way to Stinson. There are a few guys practicing they're paddling as some debatable knee high shorebreak hits the exposed sand this morning. This should be helped by the incoming tide later today, so don't rush your morning. Set yourself on cruise control and enjoy this special day with your dad.

PATCH:  If you look close you can see our crustacean overlords building their empire in the exposed rocks as Poseidon has given us a glimpse of our future for the morning. One man is daring the rocks and catching the most unbelievably small rides on what seems to be a plane wing. Let the water fill in more and see where that leads you before paddling out on this beautiful morning. May I suggest a hike or bike ride with dad?

Daily Surf Report - 6/14/2014

Inspirational crystal quote of the day:
“Success is focusing the full power of all you are on what you have a burning desire to achieve.” - Wilferd A. Peterson

Yes the crystals are charged, cleansed and at full power again.  Yes we are ready for greatness today.  The perceived perception is a skewed reality and when WWF heroes start kicking down closet doors the world is turned on its ear and somehow everything feels - RIGHT.  Ours is not to question WHY just to listen, learn and inspire.  We start the morning with a sky full of sun and nary a breath of wind.  Temp is 53F and mid 70s are a lock for the afternoon.  A new dose of NW windswell and a SW swell will have combo effects if the energy is positive and focused.  Below shallow morning tide level in play at the moment so expect better surf as the tide fills in and gives that extra push.  Point your crystals to the West and ask Mother Ocean to deliver the goods.  We've got room on the Crazy Train if you are so inclined to hop aboard.

CHANNEL:  Exploration is the key word of the day.  Play Ponce de Leon and navigate your way from Bolinas to Stinson traveling only on the exposed sandbars.  It is possible so make a game of it as the bottomless tide hits the low point.  Nothing doing here wave wise and the sand is higher than the water and that is not good for surfing.  Incoming tide delivered rights to ride and lefts to flow yesterday with size going near waist high.  Just give it time and think positive thoughts.  A beautiful morning to get lost then find your way back to a new reality.  Surfing is possible but only later in the day.  Try wait.

PATCH:  See Atlantis as the watery curtain has been pulled back and ALL rocks are fully exposed.  Not a sight to witness lightly and surf here is less then sporadic at the moment.  Way out beyond the meeting rock and on the way to Greene Afrika the S pulses every so often.  Not sure how rideable a wave it represents but 1 surfer is on the way out to sample.  Lots more water is the morning need here and until it fills in there are more worthwhile endeavors to undertake.  Try later.

Daily Surf Report - 6/13/2014

Inspirational crystal quote of the day:
“Being rich of heart makes you wealthy beyond compare.” - Rodney Williams

Starting a new streak with 2 days of morning sunshine and no wind to start the day.  A good trend to have and starting to feel like summer.  Clear skies and temps up into the 70s expected for the future.  For now we start at 55F and a beautiful Friday morning.  Still just moderate surf conditions but a bit of NW wind-swell and a fading S swell can unite in crystal harmony and produce rideable waves for your surfing enjoyment.  Full moon crystal charging is FREE today so take full advantage.  It is also a spectacular beach day so throw on the neoprene and the sunscreen and find your way out.

CHANNEL:  Low tide choppiness and exposed sand bar type of morning.  If there ever was a day that needed more water this is it.  Churned surface that is not currently surfable - likely won't stop a few from trying.  Allow the crystals to guide and head north to the Patch for now.  Try later in the Channel and winds should remain light and water levels need a few hours to reach optimum flux capacity.

PATCH:  Rock pickers' delight with one of the lowest negative tides of the year just starting to fill in.  If you lost a fin in the Patch a few years back you may be able to find it today.  If you want to see what lays beneath the ocean surface and causes waves to break you can do that as well.  If you want to explore crustacean lifestyle in all the wonder and glory that is available as well.  If you want to suit up and paddle out you best have a very long board and if so way way outside past he meeting rock the S swell pulses will appear like magic.  Take advantage and savor the sweet little gems as there are just a few to partake of on this low tide morning.  Size rears in at knee to thigh yet they will provide the glide your morning needs to get off on a good note.  Saddle up and ride.
