Daily Surf Report - 9/3/2013

Inspirational crystal quote of the day:
“It's not that I don't like the police. I just feel a whole lot better when they're not around.” - Charles Bukowski

Good morning everyone! I certainly hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend. It's a beautiful morning here at the beach with the sun out and the temperature rolling in at 57 degrees. A (very) diminishing South swell leaving humps everywhere with some breaking and others faking. Big boards and patience is the motto today.

CHANNEL:  There is still a bit of a waist (+/-) ride here today but you'll have to leave the smaller craft at home/in the vehicle and just ride the log...though body surfing, paipo, surf mats could work just as well.  The tide needs to fill in a bit more but hey, that's what it's doing right now! Five (5) in the water now with more coming in.

PATCH: The Patch is really, really trying but not delivering. Way outside the Rock/Bulk Head/Meeting Rock a set comes in but only about one wave in the set fires a bit. Even farther outside of Green-Africa there are sizable sets coming through, so if you have enough gas for the paddle out there, the session and the paddle back I say, "Charge, Laird! Charge!" Two (2) guys in the Patch proper as I write this.

PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT.  Respect the Beach.

TIDES:

LOW: 4:54 am  0.4'

HIGH: 11:43 am  5.1'

LOW:  4:58 pm   2.0'

HIGH: 11:04 pm  5.8'
